Stefano Utoikamanu #241

When does a player (especially one who puts himself up as a future leader and who is on proposed big $), actually take responsibility for his performances on the field?
It’s not on the club or the coach all the time - i think it’s on the players as individuals especially when it is effort, attitude and intent that is lacking.
Also, the idea that it’s ok to give up because the guys around you aren’t putting in or aren’t up to it, is a characteristic of a loser not a winner or a leader!
When nobody knows who the leader is there is a huge problem.

NAS appears to be playing less and less. I have no idea if he is on the radar but his value should be based on his current contribution and Melbourne seem to be doing just fine without him.

I'd like to have Stefano on our team, probably as an impact player off the bench.

If it's a five year contract at 800k, I'd rather let him go.

He's nowhere near that sort of player and the contract is too long. We can't keep paying players and committing to them when they haven't proven their potential.

Yes, yes. Let Storm keep him. He takes big dollars on their salary cap. Don't ease their pain.
They probably can’t afford Stef if he stays on to be fair. And his form and body seem to have dipped with the news Belly ache wants Stef. I hope we don’t go there.

needed a second interview …. Even the Storm have some doubts about him
If he does sign with Melbourne there is no doubt whatsoever he will be their starting prop for every game he is available to play.
I would say it’s a fair chance they would have asked him why his form has dipped over the last month.
