Off contract players 2024

You don't sign players off contract you sign players who are on contract especially at thus time of year. Parra, Souths for example with new coaches and all the other clubs with new coaches last year will have people they want to move on plus Knights
 
Tom eisenhuth is the only known name on that list that I’d go for. Jordan McLean as a direct replacement if stef goes- pillow for pillow
Many names I don’t know who they are that might be better.
But I think any recruit needs to be 25-30years of age

But looking at the above list, there isn't anyone I'd want to sign!

Doesn’t matter how big your “war chest “ is, with names like that available you may as well put it all in the bank at 3%, focus on the kids and bottom line !
 
Judging by Richo saying every bit of money counts re the Bateman 150k. He said he knows where we need to be and sounded like he has player/s ready but needs a certain amount so fingers crossed it's down that line.

Backline is another dilemma.
We've got Luke Lualii, Makasina and Willett who I'd like to see developed as the future.

Olam and AD are probably what we're hoping for being the centres with Staines and Turuva on the wings, however I wouldn't be settling for this.

I like @BlackWhiteGold or @The Chad suggestion of Reimis Smith for some experience and class... or possibly an old man return Ala Pat Richards style in the likes of Tim Lafai.

The other one that wouldn't surprise me if arose is Addo-Carr if Stef goes to Bulldogs. Gus would see benefit in releasing a large salary in a position they don't need him in with Kiraz & Wilson doing so well. If we need a star player to help fill the $2M of cap we need to fill then JAC for 2 years + MO for his speed & experience as long as we don't pay any more than $500k (Dogs to chip in difference).

Tesi Niu & Izaac Thompson are underrated options at a low cost for that outside back position. Niu in particular is a hard runner.

I cant imagine Addo-Carr would want to leave now they are on the up.
