Couldn't be further from the truth. Other than guys like Bowen, Morgan, Scott, he was surrounded by great but not elite players. Penrith is full of elite players the best in their own positions, who are all special in their own way. JT did play in great origin teams, as does nathan, but nathan also choked against the 'worst QLD team' in 2020. JT's never done that. Joey too. The 2022 decider nathan lost was partly his fault too

Cleary still hasn’t mastered origin. But Joey took a while to really dominate at that level too.

Hard to compare with players in that great QLD side though, they were just a machine of a TEAM.
