The first 20 min of the grand final Panthers and storm

Panthers had storm on the back foot

But poor kicking from Cleary led to storm tries

Cost Panthers the game

Every decider against QLD Cleary played on QLD won

MM 1st attempt and we win the series

Panthers totally dominated the 3 grand finals they won but only just got the win in 2 of them

It's because the opposition aimed up and when they do Cleary struggles

Broncos were absolutely out on their feet when Cleary turned last year's grand final on Its head

They virtually played the 1st half in their own 20 cos of stupid mistakes

The reality is of John's or Thurston was Panthers halfback 2020 to 2023 the Panthers already have 4 partnerships win comfortably by 20 or more

But never mentioned publicly by any journalist

If tigers ever win one though we will hear plenty of reasons why they shouldn't have

Love your posts rugbygoated
It seems you can't 'criticise' the golden boy. Everything is done for him, his dad is coach after all. The whole structure is based around him. When he's not playing, the panthers look just as good. The grand final was his big moment, but let's not forget that his mistakes put them on the back foot in that GF to begin with!

So you can give credit to him but can't criticise him? He's not perfect. People act like he is, which overrates his great ability
Mate his not perfect he has a bit of a one dimensional running game, but despite his flaws he perfects the things he can do well. He is the current best player in the game daylight second.
Anyway you said he missed crucial tackles in the gf that led to tries. I’m not disputing that and he would be dirty he did to. However he was playing on 1 3/4 legs; it would of been a challenge to nail every moment in defence.

I'm not denying it was an all-time effort to get them back from 24-8. Probably won't be a better comeback in history. But his first 60 minutes in that grand final were ordinary. Just irks me when they say it was 'the best grand final performance' they've seen. Footy casuals and highlights fanatics for you

LOL get your hand off it.
Nathan Cleary will be knocking on the door of immortal status by the time he is done.
The most clutch player currently and could give Thursty a run for his money in this area.
Did you see what he did on the weekend?
  • 26 points scored.
  • 242m ran.
  • 1 Line break
  • 2 Line break assists
  • 3 tries.
  • 2 try assists
  • 5 tackle breaks
  • 2 forced drop outs
No thanks. !! Neither Cleary is welcome at our club

Penrith dominated so much territory in the first half but just couldn’t convert it into points.
But yeah the second best GF and performance went to the one your comparing him to and he saved his worst season performance for last yet; ended up with the Churchill medal due to his clutch field goal in extra time.
Same same, class delivers when it matters!

Yeah I know. I reckon the 2021 GF Churchill medal was Cody Walker's until he threw that intercept late in the game, just as I thought Ezra Mam was Clive Churchill medal winner in 2023 until Cleary came up clutch. Just calling it as it is. Rather than glazing as a habit which commentators do

Again, Cody made that break because Cleary could not tackle with that shoulder and was holding out for surgery. Smart play to take the weakness but, the kid won that GF busted.

Cmon let's be real .....Penrith won't release him from his contract
If he’s on big coin they’d probably consider it. Was reported earlier that apparently he’s on 625K at Penrith. If that figure is even close to accurate, that’s good coin for a winger. Easily one of the highest paid ones if legit.

Great player, but 800k for a winger doesn't make sense when we've just lost our 3 best forwards.already got an imbalanced roster with our halves surplus
I agree 800K is too much to spend on a winger, but I hope that IF To’o does somehow end up here we aren’t gonna pay that much. Although I do think we’ll have to offer slightly more than what he’s currently on at Penrith.

I'm more than happy for you to defend him making errors because of an injury, but by the same token you can't praise him for doing good things while having it. That's not logical
