Bateman does slot of tackles and hit up’s big runs sideways a lot, gives away a lot of penalties and doesn’t offer enough threat best the position line. To me he’s not big enough and I don’t think he’s a good leader.
Happy for him go stay in England. Let the rebuild continue.

Not unexpected after the way he dicked us around coming late and well after preseason was over in his first season here.

Was too busy visiting Disney Land and other holiday destinations in a game of where's Wally, while in actual fact we were the Wally's for ever having anything to do with him.

Just on the narrative that Bateman gives away lots of penalties and isnt putting in this year...

Having played just 12 games:

• He has given away 6 penalties. Thats 1 every 2 games. He is ranked 77th in the league for giving away penalties...Sezer, Api, Stef and Seyfarth are all worse offenders.
• He has made 11 errors. Less than 1 per game. He is ranked 97th in the league for making errors...Bula and Api are worse offenders as well as most of the best players in the game.
• He is averaging 95m per game with the ball. 4th best forward returns in the team and the 2nd best of our backrowers behind Pole.
• He is averaging 31 tackles per game. This places him third in the team behind Api and Twal.
• He is averaging the most offloads in our team at nearly 2 per game, placing him 8th in the whole comp.
• He has missed 23 tackles. Just shy of two per game. He has returned the 20th worst ratio of the squad.

I will say that his linebreaks and tackle breaks have been sub par.

He is being scapegoated by fans on here. Is he setting the comp on fire? No. Is he the main reason we are losing? No - he's doing a lot more than most of our team.

Bateman is quality - he just hates losing and I think we’re just not the best club for him now.

No doubt if he goes to the bunnies next year Bennet will have him back up near best form and we’ll all blame Bateman for not putting in at our club lol

Perhaps the situation with Bateman has been brewing for awhile. Glad the lid is off & he's gone.

The club has been divided into factions for months. Galvin is off with most. There were a few games where Api almost flatly refused to give him the ball from dummy half. I know it's difficult to believe but if you watch a few replays it's quite noticeable. Quite a few are pissed about who's in the top side and who's playing KOE and quite a few KOE boys would prefer to be playing Ron Massey. Bit of a mess really. No wonder everyone's leaving.

Who are these players in KOE who deserve to be in 1sts that the bit puzzling me, if i had to have a stab id say Naden and Bud but they've both had fair shots and been rubbish Naden is probably the one who you could see on playing ability who is better than Fataape ect but he's a liabilty too.

I suppose when the club is going shit, everyone thinks they can do a better job. That's the difficulty in pulling this out of the mire. Watch which players celebrate with who or how they interact with each other after ( or when ) we score. That's an indication of who is getting on. Galvin and the Fainus aren't the flavour of the month with some of the senior players. I don't know why.
