When Richo made Fulton’s job redundant I thought he said he would do the job himself, with Benji having the right to refuse any potential signing.Do we actually have a "recruitment" person, I thought Benji took on that job well- he has far too much on his plate already- he needs help
I love how we always have a big contract player who we're hoping we can medically retired. My understanding is we have slightly over 2 million to spend for 2025 as it stands.
IF we offload Bateman, Sullivan, Naden and possibly To’a that would mean we have 3 million to spend ?
If we could also medically retire Olam it could be over 3.5 million to spend.
Pretty sure the club can also fill the top 30 with young players and use the 2 million to just front load contracts. So even though we must use the money there are ways we could use it without any visible squad improvement for next year. But in doing that come next year we will have much more to spend when there is more talent available cause atm interms of elite n.r.l talent there really isn't much coming off contract so the club might try to position itself for a bigger go next year. No idea just surmising. With $2m to spend and an NRL condition that you must spend approx 95% of your Cap, and only a few spots available, we need to sign an elite player, on approx $800k.
Signing 3 or 4 mid tier players on 350 to 400k won't make us NRL compliant.
Everybody is off contract, not just the "available" list. Bateman has 2yrs left and he's seemingly on the move. Richo will have to prove his worth these next few months, we can all judge him in that time.
I think it’s a joint effort because Richo has said a few times that it’s his and the clubs job to get Benji the players he wants. When Richo made Fulton’s job redundant I thought he said he would do the job himself, with Benji having the right to refuse any potential signing.
I'm pretty sure you're right about front loading. It just means our Roster will have a better 17, but overall a worse top 30. My fear is another poor Season will see Galvin and Co. head for a better Club. We need to give him, Da Silva, Sam Fainu some quality, so they'll remain.Pretty sure the club can also fill the top 30 with young players and use the 2 million to just front load contracts. Hot tip but I think he will play prop next year. Has the whole off season and is a mobile and big motor. Dogs lack a forward. Curran can play prop but his best position is lock or second row. They already have kikau and preston tooDon’t think he was worth a 4 year deal. But should go well with Kikau
Never ceases to amaze me how pessimistic yet choosy our fans can beAccording to the experts on here there's barely a dozen players worthy of our consideration.
They seem to forget we've won 3 spoons in a row and have a terrible squad.
That avatar is my members hat with Jerome Luai’s first ever Tigers autograph. I got it after he walked out of the press conference when he announced his Tigers contract signing. I was staying at the casino playing poker that week.Wait
That's just our normal hat. Usually you have a picture of a face+Behind combination as your Avatar....
<checks our position on ladder> 🙁
Yep.. ok makes sense...
it would be so nice if the above happened, but i dont like our chancesMy understanding is we have slightly over 2 million to spend for 2025 as it stands.

There's room for a To'o autograph on there as well for when he announces he's signing with us 🤔That avatar is my members hat with Jerome Luai’s first ever Tigers autograph. I have been dining out on that story for 6 months, Mrs Buttface is sick of hearing it.
I am playing the ball. I didn’t want him to leave for the exact same reasons you just stated and I reckon he has better in him. Really disappointing, and yeah I blame our previous management for a lot of it. But he could have played better while here, he’s had some shockers too.Play the ball Buttsy, when you play the man you can expect 10 in the Bin. Stefano is one of the best front rowers in the game and Richo was visibly upset that he couldn’t retain him. I can understand you echoing Richo’s sentiments but because he acted like a spoilt brat doesn’t mean it’s right to follow him down that path.
The real problem is that Stef gave us 3 full seasons to get our act together and we took away his hopes and aspirations. Stefano is leaving because he wants to be a better player and I applaud the guy for that.
I’m checking on poker tournaments in Sydney as we speak just in case I need an excuse for Mrs BF to go to Sydney for the week. There plenty of room for Hopgood, a Haas, a Crighton, Martin, I reckon I could squeeze them all in.There's room for a To'o autograph on there as well for when he announces he's signing with us 🤔
Really u want to fill out top 30 with kids who can’t even complete in NSW cup , if u had ur way we would be getting are 4 wooden spoon next season , then we lose Galvin , because he won’t stay maybe pole might want out .
