LIVE GAME Round 23 vs. Knights

Live Game Discussion
Well a penalty at the very least. So my question is, why not ?
Was Sharpe favouring Newcastle, did she not see it, did she see it and ignore it, was it coz it was Ponga.
Why don’t we have a referees press conference where they can be asked to explain just their contentious decisions ?
Makes perfect sense to me ?
Because you cannot question AUTHORITY. What they say is Bible. Not just in football. In life as well.

The club will get 1 more year out of me as a member I think, no improvement next year and I'll be pulling the pin.

My care factor is already zero, never wanted to be a fair weather fan, but I think I've paid my dues.
Me too- tragic seeing the same errors/performances year after year - 30 seconds to go till half time you’re always nervous -and guess what happens -the Knights score lack -of experience lack of positioning and no effort to fix it very. disheartening.
My question is why is this culture so ingrained with our club? We don’t have the same resilience fight of other sides. I’m hoping that the re build will give us different results. At least that’s something to hang onto.🙏

Ponga is a protected species.

In there defence, they like me seen a knock on , ANd the same thing happened yesterday and they said no try , but the ref and the bunker just rubbed are nose in it , and the winger could have been out but there was no close up , they skipped it very quickly

A lot of ifs, buts and maybes there but If something crazy is gonna happen, it will happen to us. Some call it a Tiger curse but it certainly happens regularly, doesn’t it.

I just sent this email to Richo … he’s responded to one of my emails and ignored the other two… let’s see

Shane

I was involved with the club when we lost Teddy and Mitch Moses.

I spoke with both Justin Pascoe and Kelly Egan (director of football) at the time.

They both told me that even if Jason Taylor had won the first games of 2017 – the players would have left for a more successful club.

The club should have sacked Jason Taylor at the end of the 2016 and given Ivan Cleary a full off season to be able to convince Mitch and Teddy to stay.

Instead Justin Pascoe kept Taylor at the club for the beginning of 2017 because Jason had done the dirty work for him by getting rid of Robbie Farah and they felt they owed him. It was obvious the players wanted out because they would not extend at the back end of 2016 – much like Galvin is doing now.

My point is – that if we do not get a proper coach, who can give the players confidence in his systems – Galvin will be looking for a club early next year and it won’t matter if you change Benji after 10 games – once the player wants to leave – it will be harder for any incoming coach to convince him to stay… just like it was too hard for Ivan Cleary to convince Teddy and Mitch to stay.

We are witnessing the same scenario as 2017.

PLEASE CHANGE THE COACH.

We are living in hope that Luai will be able to convince him stay – and you do not seem like a man who lives in hope.

We should have got Bennet earlier this year and made Benji do a longer apprenticeship.

Maybe Brad Arthur? Or someone that the players respect.

Regards

Look you make some very good points and I looked at it and thought Ponga dropped the ball then kicked it (knock on)however it should’ve been shut down before it got to that play

If he started smoking it would look better. Like he cares at the detriment to his own life. We need a coach that smokes. Like Jack, Harry and Roy. 🤔🤔🤔
The way they defend we could do with a coach like Warren Ryan, ugly grinding style of play but almost guaranteed spot in the 8 & Roy Masters as his deputy to smack the softness out of them!!

As much as I like him, he's a great young player but Galvin gave up the chase on that "kick" thinking it was going out. Bula also didn't show urgency when it was too late. It was a freaky try, it could have been the same result against any of the top 4 defensive teams.
Put it down to experience, don't stop chasing until the ball is dead or you've tackled the attacker.
