So we start the year and we win 2 of our first 3 games and we all start to dream, for the team to go on and win only 2 of our next 20 games…pathetic season…so glad I didn’t waste my hard earned on membership…

It’s not about loving Benji it’s about wanting us to actually back a coach for once. Since you keep mentioning Bennett in a lot of your posts here’s a Bennett quote for youLol to all benji lovers
If we had Bennet , ciraldo , flanno , des or any coach we would be doing better.
Benji is out of his depth … “we aren’t playing for 80” “ we do good things and then shoot ourselves in the foot”
We leaked over 30 points to the knights
What a joke

“If there is anyone that can handle that situation, it’s Benji,” Bennett told this masthead. “Only in the sense he has a lot of contacts there. It gives you a lot of goodwill, and he’s going to need that. He will need them to be patient, as simple as that. You can’t go from zero to hero overnight.
“Everyone wants results, that’s what makes it such a cut-throat business and so difficult at times. They just can’t keep turning coaches over like they’re confetti. It’s just ridiculous
Thats what should be looked at- what was it? What happened? Were is our coaching directorSo we start the year and we win 2 of our first 3 games and we all start to dream, for the team to go on and win only 2 of our next 20 games…pathetic season…so glad I didn’t waste my hard earned on membership…
Do you think Benji has been given every tool to succeed as a head coach?I understand the thought that we have to back a coach and ride it out with him. The problem in this instance is the doubt about Benji actually being a coach. Its a lot easier to ride out a year or 2 backing a coach to turn it around if that coach has been there done that. The massive fear here is we simply waste another season backing a rookie.
IMO we are delaying the inevitable and simply putting the club back further and further. I agree with the statement made earlier "rip the bandaid off". Put up with the negative press (what's the difference). Do it just before the Semi's. It will be a small talking point, and we move on.
Yeah, except knowledge, talent and experienceDo you think Benji has been given every tool to succeed as a head coach?

Every team from wooden spoon to 7th is stacked pretty evenly.Don’t sack Marshall. Get him a proper assistant coach and a proper strength and conditioning coach and four more first graders.
If we still suck after that, then sack Marshall.
But right now there is not a coach in the world that would do anything better than about 15th with this squad (and that’s a push).
We have the worst squad in the comp. And by some distance.
Silver lining is we are getting one of the best halves in the game and the players preforming to their pay packet - or beyond - are our young ones and cheap ones.
plus any replacement if decided on that path, has to have the full preseason to have a go a sorting out the squad and getting things moving. My point about sacking Benji comes down to this
Galvin is a once in a generation talent - like teddy was for us
We have about 8-10 games next year to convince him to stay with us
If we don’t start well next year he will start to look elsewhere and even if we sack benji in round 10 his mind will already be out the door and his manger would be silently fielding offers (even tho not allowed to November 1)
My argument is I reckon Brad Arthur would do a better job for the first 12 games of next year than Benji …
If you disagree fine. But that’s my rationale to getting rid of Benj
it’s basically looking at the probability of which coach would give us more wins and what that would do to retain galvin and other players
Galvin is going to be a freaking star !!! Maybe better than teddy and Munster

Did farah choose to leave or was he asked to leave? Genuine question.Take it for what it is worth.
Marshall is not going to be the coach after next season unless significant improvement is shown. There is a feeling at the club that coaching strategy and in-game decision making is not good enough, and that players may develop faster and at a higher standard under a different coach. Players are fond of him but competitiveness and winning are seen as far more important.
Stefano leaving was also seen as a clear comment on the perceived lower quality of coaching at the club compared to others.
Richo knows that no coach could come in with this roster and have success. He also knows he couldn't come in and sack the biggest Tigers of them all, Marshall and Farah, without getting the nose of some old egos in the club out of joint. Farah has already chosen to leave, putting the heat on Marshall to surround himself with more proven coaches where he has been reluctant in the past.
There is hope that Luai will make a noticeable impact next season, especially on the younger players, and stave off any thoughts they may have of leaving like Stef did. If he doesn't, there will be clear reasons to sack Marshall, as much of an indictment on the club as it would be for providing such a long contract in the first place. Don't think that candidates are not being identified in the event that it happens.
Heard this from a someone who has known things and whose name you'd know.
It all makes sense tbh - we are vile and have not been competitive in most matches this season.
Also got to recall Benji apparently did not want Holbrook as an assistant. Felt threatened??????No I don't. However my gut tells me we should be seeing more from the playing group.
It really is hard to fathom that a rookie could walk into an NRL team with no coaching experience and pull thos off. Sheens realky has screwed us hard. There is simply so much to the role that it's impossible to do. It's not a slight on Benji. I actually think he says all the right things and knows his stuff. However that isn't enough for this job. You need extensive experience in not just coaching, but management as well. Management of people and personalities, experience in how you deliver messages to both the group as a whole and to individuals. You need respect and faith from players in what your doing and where your headed.
A coach with no experience can't do these things IMO.
Asked to leave.Did farah choose to leave or was he asked to leave? Genuine question.
Lol 2022 called and said better late than never.I'm starting tome come round to transitioning benji out of the head coach role. I have been guilty of having blind faith because the bloke has business sense, that doesn't necessarily translate to coaching footy.
He has no coaching experience.
How am I only seeing this now 😅😅
He deserves a seat at the table, where specifically, I do not know... but he probably shouldn't be running the show.
