Faaletino Tavana was the young fella in yesterday. Played Jersey Flegg this year and has been pretty good there. He is known for his aerial ability in Flegg so it’s good to see it translated in Cup.

Skinny kid but caught every ball that came his way.

Looked promising.

Bulldogs had kikau, burton, mahoney, addo-carr. We only have Api and potentially Ice as a 'great' player. Bateman, Klemmer are both washed and ageing. Stefano is overrated. Coach sucks. The only shining light is our juniors. We need a big prop to lead them and a defensive centre to stop leaking tries

Mate i dont think its that easy attracting players, so no announcements i would think, but who knows with this club.

I see all the players mentioned on this forum to fix our centres/wing positions and how good they are etc. BUT what if they just don't want to be here? They have better opportunities elsewhere.
How do we attract improvements? Pay overs OR sign those approaching their use by dates. Shop further down the pecking order?
Not that straight forward to plug the holes we desperately need.
Short term difficult!................Longer term we must identify younger talent and expand that talent in the lower grades. We are working on this I know. It is a BIG juggle to do this on a tight budget, that is why talent scouts must be very good at their job. And takes time. Successful clubs do it routinely.

Both starting props played 50 minutes to Api's 80 minutes, so there is that.

Klemmer defended well, again. There's just a narrative around here that he isn't putting in.

I don't think he doesn't put in, I just think he's ineffective. Time has passed him by.
