If Onitoni moves through the pathways as a fullback all the way up to cup then you’d have to assume that Jahream probably moves to centre to accomodate, which to be fair is his junior position. I’m starting to notice a trend that a lot of juniors want that fullback position for some reason (maybe money) but there’s not doubt Large will flourish there.

As for Heamasi Makasini I can’t say I see him as a wing nor would the club judging by his performances this year. The likely reasoning for that position is just to fit him in as they had to drop Xavier Tauaifuaiga so I wouldn’t read too deeply in it. It’s a clear sign that these boys are hopefully in for the ride.

He's an untried player at NRL level, hasn't set the world on fire in the games he's played and has a limited skill set - what's the big deal ? Because the media put some label on him doesn't make it so and maybe the Tigers were of the opinion he just wasn't suited to the Tigers happens in every club. You can't "swap" players if there's no players who want to play for your team.

Can't see John Sutton being forced out of Souths. Wayne Bennett is way too smart to punt somone like him. John Sutton is as much South Sydney as George Piggins, Clive Churchill, John Sattler, etc.

Don’t know if this sounds misogynistic but if they were hyping us up with a women’s team signing that’ll do me. Surely common sense would prevail in that it’s not something worth hyping the fans up about. But maybe I’m wrong, maybe everyone here was actually wanting/expecting a NRLW signing.

Yes I’ve heard that. I think the Levels boys said it a while back.

Makasini plays on the wing in union so he's not unfamiliar to that position (albeit a different code). Probably also playing him on the wing to start so he can get a feel for speed of the game and step up in quality and size of the opposition.

Galvin will be gone by 2026. He wants to be the main man on both sides of the field kicking, passing and leading. Don't think him and Jarome will gel like some of our fans think. Latu Fainu is a gun too, I hope we don't lose him or upset him and end up 2 steps back
