Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Yeah I guess that's my point. Plenty of backs making debuts, but very few forwards. Miller being the only one from memory. Maybe Kit L?

Seems like the forwards are well behind and we have a while to wait before we see them in NRL consistently.
I think, as a broad rule, forwards can tend to take a bit longer to mature to NRL, just given the requirements of their positions.

As an example, if you look at the best teenagers of recent times, Galvin, Talagi, Strange, even back to the likes of Sua'ali'i and Walsh, they're all backs (generally).

But, in our side, we've already got Pole (22), Samuela (20) and Sione (22), so our generation now is up and going, it's the next crop that is 2/3 years away (min) from getting a decent taste.

Probably for the best though.

Not really happy at all
7 lower graders
what about Pole , Galvin , Sione ,
land where is Stefs replacement and the extra prop and back rower we need now
Look at Rahme, a three year apprenticeship at Souths and the Knights, a Balmain junior perhaps on the cusp of the NRL. If you look at his write ups hardworking features. I think he is a smart signing and is not taking a top 30 spot.

Not a single player signed today for depth will be taking a top 30 role.

Maybe read what I wrote then comment?
Look at the Quality of our Top 30 Roster....

- Most of those players would be considered Depth and not NRL quality, Some of them not even depth....
3rd grade at best most of them.

Now we've signed a heap of players to sit behind them....
How's that work exactly?

What are we announcing RMC Players?
(Have a look at where a lot of our recent 25-30 players are playing now.... in RM cup)
- That's how we roll

without Shane Richardson, the likes of Aho, Johannssen and Broederlow would’ve been signed to the top 30 for three years by the old mob. this is good work and supplements first grade. very interested to see who has development deals for 2025.

Rahme looks to have had a really decent year in Cup for Newcastle. he’s a smart acquisition, as is Hope. the rest I feel will be playing RMC most weeks.

The sport doesn’t lend itself to debuting young as a forward, unless you’re a bit of a freak. We’ve seen Sam Fainu start well but fall away of late.

I think there will be a few more of these T&T deals after our season finishes.

The futures of top age Flegg boys Bailey Hodges, Cayne Nicholas & Herman Tofaeono who have all been promoted to Cup this season as well as Reuben Porter & Solo Faataape who you would think won’t get top 30 deals if we are fair dinkum.

Watching to,o last week against the storm he didn't look interested, he wasn't the to,o of old you could be right
Had a few drinks at the pub and an old mate who does alot of work with sharks juniors got chatting about things and rumours he also said the sharks feel they could win the premiership if they have Joey Manu but just rumours at the moment
