Even taking into account retaining Pole and Sione Fainu we have 1 spare top 30 spot left… and that includes Sullivan and NadenProbably due to lack of top 30 spots.

Pole is already contracted for next year. If he extends he won't effect any spots. He can't be on the roster twice.Even taking into account retaining Pole and Sione Fainu we have 1 spare top 30 spot left… and that includes Sullivan and Naden
Pole is in the 30 for next year, but Sione isn’t and we need to pay some out or someone needs to find a new club before we can sign him. Before we sign any externals, we MUST resign Pole and Sione Fainu… both are gun forwards
No way top 30, he needs to stay on a Dev contract for another year. We don’t have the spots.I came on the forum for the pure reason to say what a great game faaataape had, i'd be agreeing to say top 30 deal in 2026, he will be a beast and a competentent replacement for Olam then
Why did we rush to re-sign AD before he played a game of NRL this season?Looking at the last couple of weeks from a different perspective we can make some calls for 25 and beyond.
- Having AD on the paddock in defence is like having two blokes off in the bin. Enough said; I trust Richo finds him a new home over the off season.
- Alaimano can defend - ne needs someone inside him that can defend as well. He has development potential.
- Bateman off the paddock hurts our edge defence; however, our attack becomes more structured. Until we know more about who is coming in he is a keeper (just). I think he is worth another season as Luai has the potential to unlock him in attack - they are the types that feed off each other.
- The pillow with eyes will not be missed. He is too inconsistent which is a liability on both sides of the ball. We do need to find a consistent metre eater to replace him though.
- Klemmer is not much more than a toiler now; but will be OK if we can find a quality replacement for Stef.
- Sezer is not required; like the bloke but the option is not worth renewing unless it is on a Cup contract for depth.
We got him for near min wage I believe, covers plenty of positions. Why did we rush to re-sign AD before he played a game of NRL this season?
He’s a rumoured tigers signing ….Why? Is it interesting for you?
A key figure in lifting standards at the club too.We got him for near min wage I believe, covers plenty of positions.
I clearly need to work on my sarcastic tone delivery. He should start with his own standards
Pole gets beat a lot arm grabbing like Steph, and it has cost us a stack of tries, another one last night, and that needs addressing real quickBe surprised if Fainu leaves, the boys look very happy and are helping each other develop. But he needs to stay. Can see a difference in the middle when he is on.
Pole I’m not convinced about, Storm want him but it’s up to Richo to close the deal out.
Yep. If you look at the Dogs, their forward pack works extremely hard for each other and lazy efforts like that just don't happen. It's not good enough for a club thats looking to move north on the ladder.Pole gets beat a lot arm grabbing like Steph, and it has cost us a stack of tries, another one last night, and that needs addressing real quick
Richo and Benj should brush him. That statement came across as condescending and disrespectful. His client is playing reserve grade in an average team FFS. He’s not representing Dally Messenger!"We will probably give them the courtesy of meeting up with them next week or the week after," he said.
"Benji and (CEO) Shane Richardson have said they are keen on him but we just haven't had a chance to get to Sydney, but we will."
Gee thanks for giving Wests Tigers the courtesy mate!
It was Pole's go forward and urgency that lifted the tempo of the peformance. Watching last nights game, both Klemmer and Aloai have stayed a year too long.Be surprised if Fainu leaves, the boys look very happy and are helping each other develop. But he needs to stay. Can see a difference in the middle when he is on.

Latu Fainu is a very good young half. Gould said in commentary in our previous game Fainu is an NRL halfback. I think Marshall said he is 18 so we have time on our side to develop him. I believe he and his brothers will be at the club long term which is what we want. I am confident the Roosters, Panthers and many other clubs will attempt to help WTs with our halves situation. After watching last nights game it’s clear to me Latu Fainu is going to be an excellent 13 long term.
I’m very confused by members suggesting Galvin at 13… right now Galvin looks way better than both Moses and Brooks looked as juniors here. I think he’ll be our new Tedesco in this era, we need to prioritise his future and shifting him to the forward line at 13 is pretty much guaranteeing he’ll be gone next November. Bookmark that.
That pass Latu threw to Seyfarth was very Yeo like and will keep the defensive line on high alert giving both Luai and Galvin all the space out wide moving forward. Fainu also seems hard to tackle and can break a tackle quite easily and on top of that, from a defensive standpoint he can more than handle the middle.
However it’s clear the club have prioritised bringing in some senior experienced players hence the Jack Bird rumours. Whilst also focussing on improving our forward depth.
I believe if we do move forward with Latu at 13 we need to bring in some serious size to balance our pack.
I’m personally a big Corey Horsbrough fan.
A name I think about as well is young Cronulla forward Tuku Hau Tapuha who’s available to speak to clubs in November this year. Xavier Wilson from Brisbane is another name I would be closely monitoring. Leo Thompson from Newcastle another name I’d be paying attention too.
Big money players available to chat in November also include names like Ruben Cotter and J’maine Hopgood who should be considered.
