Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The Wests Tigers are poised to land the signing of Cronulla’s Royce Hunt as they move to fill the void of prop Stefano Utoikamanu.
Hunt has met with Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall and the club is growing increasingly confident that the Sharks power forward will be on their roster next season.

Hunt is believed to be weighing up a three-year offer as Benji Marshall continues his rebuild of the club.

Hunt is on-contract at the Sharks for 2025 and has been given permission to look for another club for 2026 and beyond.

The Tigers deal would require Hunt securing an early release from Cronulla for 2025, which is expected to be ratified as negotiations intensify this week.
With all that leaked or hearsay info I hope it is just that?
25 min. game time is not enough time on the paddock IMO. Unless highly discounted and we get a tough worker as well.
I think there are better options out there.

Im on the fence with Frizzell the last aging forward we took off them isn't exactly a great buy. My concern if he comes here for any more than 2 years we're in plodder territory.

in the Royce Hunt article that Benji is looking for added experience as “Wests Tigers will also be without veteran forward John Bateman next season”

It’s been updated to:

The 29-year-old has played 13-games for the Sharks and averages 24-minutes this season. He would bring 72-games of NRL experience to the Tigers, a major appeal for Marshall, who could also be without veteran forward John Bateman next season.

Changed ‘will’ to ‘could’

Look at those stats

24 mins per week and 29 year old who has played 72 games

He Isn't the guy for us....

From my inside source who works at Penrith HQ, To’o is an 80% chance of linking with the Tigers in 2025! My source also told me that he is keen to wait on how they go this year before making a final call! Make of that what you will! IMO I think if they don’t win the premiership this year, To’o is a 🐯
Why is he doesn’t win rather than wins? I would’ve thought other way around
