Play first 15-20 mins & last 15-20 mins when we need A type predator most! That will be the challenge 4 him. We're not chasing
him to come off the bench or play 20mins I reckon
With all that leaked or hearsay info I hope it is just that? The Wests Tigers are poised to land the signing of Cronulla’s Royce Hunt as they move to fill the void of prop Stefano Utoikamanu.
Hunt has met with Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall and the club is growing increasingly confident that the Sharks power forward will be on their roster next season.
Hunt is believed to be weighing up a three-year offer as Benji Marshall continues his rebuild of the club.
Hunt is on-contract at the Sharks for 2025 and has been given permission to look for another club for 2026 and beyond.
The Tigers deal would require Hunt securing an early release from Cronulla for 2025, which is expected to be ratified as negotiations intensify this week.

According to NBWT Twitter post ..the Telegraph article about Royce Hunt says that the Tigers moving on from Bateman …😮
The motor is too old for a turbo charger.it’s not like he can’t play above 30 minutes, but if we’re going to extract value out of him we’re going to have to try and build his motor. Richo doesn’t do options, which is probably a good thing.
It’s been updated to:in the Royce Hunt article that Benji is looking for added experience as “Wests Tigers will also be without veteran forward John Bateman next season”
Has this been posted?

Look at those statsIt’s been updated to:
The 29-year-old has played 13-games for the Sharks and averages 24-minutes this season. He would bring 72-games of NRL experience to the Tigers, a major appeal for Marshall, who could also be without veteran forward John Bateman next season.
Changed ‘will’ to ‘could’
I feel he’s way over-hyped.Look at those stats
24 mins per week and 29 year old who has played 72 games
He Isn't the guy for us....
That is what is being said, but the talk is RCG to saints not Penrith, but it might be journo’s making it upYes most likely!
I agree. Also, I don't believe it is Richardson's style to have signings played out in the media.Look at those stats
24 mins per week and 29 year old who has played 72 games
He Isn't the guy for us....
Why is he doesn’t win rather than wins? I would’ve thought other way aroundFrom my inside source who works at Penrith HQ, To’o is an 80% chance of linking with the Tigers in 2025! My source also told me that he is keen to wait on how they go this year before making a final call! Make of that what you will! IMO I think if they don’t win the premiership this year, To’o is a 🐯
Yes definitely. Why is he doesn’t win rather than wins? I would’ve thought other way around
The thing I really want to know , is whether Hunt is in for the crocodile roll
How they go? Last or second last, is known. From my inside source who works at Penrith HQ, To’o is an 80% chance of linking with the Tigers in 2025! My source also told me that he is keen to wait on how they go this year before making a final call! Make of that what you will! IMO I think if they don’t win the premiership this year, To’o is a 🐯
But that’s where you are wrong. We are the custodians they are the owners.Getting a bit off-track from Signings, but feel the need to reply to this here as our most viewed thread.
Unfortunately, we can't sack them and he, with 3 other numpties, took control of the HBG board when the other 3 directors pushed through the actions from the review.
If they push through the review and fix the structure of our board, then they are redeemed. But for everyone taking notice, I believe the 4 are

- Julie Romero (Far Right)
- Dennis Burgess (I think you can guess...)
- Vince Tropiano (2nd from Right)
- Stephen Montgomery (3rd Left)
If they do not do the right thing (and dennis's re-appointment into their WT board seat is one sign of that), we're going to be back to where we were.
We need to make sure these 4 people feel the pressure and know that it's our club and they are custodians, not owners.
We need talent on the board, not entitlement.
I like playing roster roulette. Also something else I heard that was quite interesting…… don’t be surprised if the To’o to Tigers rumours start to heat up again the day after the GF.
Not dead yet.
