If we get Bird I'd imagine he will be at right centre. Imo it's a good move. Bird is a good defender in the centres and experienced and with Galvin moving to the right next year then you need a good experienced defensive centre next to him
I would go with Hetherington. Hungry for a first grade starting spot and would work his ring off to secure it. Plenty of upside in him and would be good value I expect.three 13s on the market, all with their respective pros and cons: Adam Elliott, Corey Horsburgh, Kobe Hetherington. I think it simply comes down to what WT want at 13. all three are players with different skillsets and at different points in their career.
Hetherington is the least developed of all three, but would come cheap and is unshakeable in defence. also has a great passing game given he was a 9 before he transitioned.
Elliott is in his peak years and is having a great season, but would be looking for a decent deal in what will likely be his last NRL deal and isn't as good defensively as the other two.
Horsburgh lacks the ballplaying skillset as a lock but is a rock defensively and can turn a game on it's head on either side of the ball.
interesting times ahead and very interested to see what we decide to do.
And yet....he's played centre and no backrow for the Dragons exclusively all season..He is too slow these days for Center …
Won’t leave qld , he will be at either Fins or Gold Coast or play on in Q cupCorey Oates has been show the door , could he be worth looking at , tall , good finisher , and would be a cheat option
He will play right centre if he comes and be a back up , back rowerAnd yet....he's played centre and no backrow for the Dragons exclusively all season..

Galvin's mumWho said that?
I think Latu can be our Connor Watson/Tyran Wishart. Ideal 14 and that position is so important now. Playing a specialist hooker at 14 is a complete wasteWe are in a tricky spot with Latu atm. Think he is in a bit of a holding pattern atm. We can get him in as a fill in 9 or build him into a 13. Problem is if Galvin leaves he's our future 6. I'd be pushing to find out where Galvin is at, if it feels like he's just using us as a stepping stone then I would throw Latu in at 6 and let Galvin fill in at 9 or 13 till he leaves. Why should we potentially stunt Latus growth if Galvin is leaving.
Turuva will be right centre, Olam left centre. If we get Bird I'd imagine he will be at right centre. Imo it's a good move. Bird is a good defender in the centres and experienced and with Galvin moving to the right next year then you need a good experienced defensive centre next to him
Or with our luck, a crippled old crock. 🤣Turuva will be right centre, Olam left centre.
I'd imagine Bird is being recruited as a ball playing lock.

Ravalawa is a liabilityNo he hasn’t … he has been at 6 the past few games at least…
BTW - The last player you were pushing for them to sign in the backline was Ravalava… only last month wasn’t it?… I hear he might be available…
Ravalawa is a liability
Yeah but he scored 21 tries and averaged over 149m per game in 2023, when was the last player we had with those stats ?Ravalawa is a liability
Yeah but he scored 20 tries and averaged over 130m per game in 2023, when was the last player we had with those stats ?
I’d still take him if the Dragons were willing to subsidise his wage, so he was on a contract that didn’t hurt us if he was only playing NSW Cup if his form didn’t warrant playing NRL.

Well that remains to be seen, I can’t see Penrith releasing him when there is no suitable replacements available. We've signed To'o apparently 🤣 who needs Ravalawa
A change of scenery could be what he needs to reproduce what he did in 2023.Yeah … but we are looking for him to play in 2025
