OFFICIAL Jack Bird #299

Probably a 13 at this stage of his career weight/age but Pole would be a better 13 (prop style) next year than Bird.

2. Turuva
3. Olam (fit)
4. Bird
5. Skelton

Looks miles better than

2. Turuva
3. Olam
4. Doohie
5. Skelton

Bird can tackle, Doohie finger nail shirt grabs at best.

Won me over already.

If our WT are going to bet our medium term success centring on youngsters, they are going to need some experience and leadership both on and off the field. A subsidised first year for Bird and only the average cap $ for the second is a risk worth taking for his potentially substantial input and versatility.

I just asked my cousins who are dragons fans if bird can still run… one responded “slowly” lol and the other “no”

Btw my cousins sponsor Zach Lomqx and are dragons fanatics so they would know
Now that's a player we should've signed, Zac Lomax

He’s closing in on 30, but his body is closing in on 40. He’s a year to year proposition from this point on.

I know this is minor, but once again Richo tells us members will hear from the club first only for it to be all over the media for a couple of days before a “members” communication.

Is it me or does this media release seem very short? It doesn't contain a lot of the usual stuff like quotes from the player etc.
