My point- the narrative is that Klemmer is no good, but Pole is going to be great. My opinion is- Klemmer is great at certain things & the much less critisised player in Pole has massive flaws in his game.

The wage is something I've never brought up. Because, as far as I'm concerned- if we can fit all the players in, it doesn't matter. I'm not paying his wages.

I've never said Klemmer is better. I have said Klemmer is underappreciated.

For whatever reason- people want to get rid of him for....I don't know- Johannssen maybe? Because he'll be better because he's cheaper? Go check out how many missed tackles he has in KOE. It's not pretty.

I got a funny feeling that opinions would change quickly if Klemmer was to be moved on … like what happened with Bateman … 2 weeks before he got sent back to the UK people were gagging over him still

What is the point of that argument? Has anybody suggested getting rid of Pole? You're twisting a point to make...what? An example of me for saying Klemmer isn't a wasted player?

Depends. Who do you replace him with?

I don't think the club has replaced Bateman at all yet. I'd still rather Bird in the centres. I don't think he has the ability to defend like Bateman on a consistant basis.

I have argued this all season … people get released first and thoughts of who will replace then come later … refer Ice back whenever the hell he got released .. I was pretty much one out with saying that could have been a bad idea … he hasn’t been replaced months later still

Pole has not yet re- signed for 2026 and could be released in the offseason like Blore was if he signs elsewhere

Pole's re-signing & Klemmer's wage are not directly related. There is plenty of cap room to do both.

They are at opposite ends of their careers. Obviously in a one-or-the-other argument, you take Pole.

But, it's not a one-or-the-other argument. The club needs players like David Klemmer. Until you can replace his defensive work, there's nobody better than him doing that role in the club. If we had 7 great defensive middles, and no impact forwards- the argument changes.

If Addo-Carr becomes available, and we haven't brought in Montoya, it would seem foolish to not look at adding him.

Tartak as his manager puts the Tigers in a good position. Older player, off field issues....still an upgrade on the current squad options. 1 or 2 years, doesn't seem a huge risk.

Big call I know but I'd be ok with that. If he's not in for the crocodile roll and signs elsewhere for 2026, I'd look into the option of an early release if and a big IF there was a no nonsense middle still available for a 1 year + 1 year option.

He's an important retain. But it doesn't mean his defence doesn't need improvement
