Richo is absolutely a hothead.

Many years ago while he was at a previous club, he supposedly had a huge outburst in the coaches box during a game, declaring that certain players who were signed before he arrived were effectively "sacked".

I wasn't there (but the person who told me was) and the next year, all those players were gone, so the story checked out.

After years of a CEO trying to be best pals with players, this is exactly what we need.

Just one thing about Richo , he was going over to England to off load players and sign some players , but so far no players coming or going , now this is a CEO who gets things done , so what the hell happened in England , he could not find 1 player to sign and he could not get 1 player to go to England . Not dirty on the hunt and bird signings , but we need a couple of really hard workers who can put in a 80 minutes

Maybe the timings are off and maybe his trip had nothing to do with it, but Bateman is now in England.

Give it time BP, sometimes these things take 6-12 months.

May have been sussing out coaches to join our coaching staff; Naden, Bud & possibly someone like To'a could still be an ESL option if their opportunities here are NSW Cup only; and possible middles like Tyler Dupree or Morgan Knowles could be on the radar for '25 or '26. Wigan 19yo powerhouse backrower Junior Nsemba is taking ESL by storm this season so we'd be remiss not to investigate his status.

Yeah I don't disagree. Was just replying about Richo's UK trip and that results from the trip specifically may take a while to eventuate.

You been watching NRL 360?

I have no issues with the UK trip. I have no doubt he met with Sam Burgess whilst in the UK and now it looks like we are offloading Bateman..... Is that not a result?

I didn't have expectations of him coming back with a Gareth Ellis type of signing from just one trip.

As far as I'm concerned, he went to the UK, developed some connections, put the Tigers on the radar, so that if the right player and opportunity arises we are in a position to make a play.

No haven’t watched 360 at all , not sure what the hell is going on with Bateman , I am glad u still got hope in Richo , mind has dropped quiet a bit , but if he pulls of 2/3 more quality players I am shore I will be like u again

He snuck out the country unannounced and tried to sell contracted players on the ESL “black” market.

It may not have worked and of course his cover was blown by the press.

But he had a swing with a bit of classic skulduggery involved.

And if had jagged a deal or two, us fans and Benji we could be more comfy.

He could have cut a deal and is keeping quiet anyway. He does that sometimes.

His intent was honourable.

But we do need a few more, for sure.

Bateman is gone as the whispers go.
