Considered what? That he might get picked for England?
Unless his contract is different to every other player it would state that he will be released for representative games and that he gets X weeks off (I think someone of his experience it is 8) after his last game of 2024.
So it is not a contract breach for him to be starting in January. It would breach employment law if the club tried to coerce him to do otherwise.

I only agree with part of your assessment of Bateman. This above is certainly part of it.

Jhonne is the type of guy I can imagine that either
can stoop to your level or rise to the occasion. I've
been vocal about wanting him 2 come back. Chammas
doing everyone else's bidding (Moses) again the
lapdog dope. Bateman will go rise to the occasion
with Luai & Co. When we start building a winning
culture, he's just the guy you need 4 that. He has
been a bit underwhelming this past few seasons -
who hasn't on the team. We need a 2nd/13 that

You would really hope all our senior players want to get started as soon as possible. There will be lots of new combinations. If not, it’s a concern for me.

I agree with you Bagman. He should want to get here as soon as he can. In saying that, if he is selected to play for England in the test match series against Samoa, he will still be playing as late as early November. It would only be fair (and probably part of his contract) for him to arrive back at training at the same time as Luai and Turuva, who I expect will also be playing in the same games. On reflection, a more likely timeline for these players to return to training would more likely be early January. As you alluded to, we want them motivated to be here.

Missed the first due to covid restrictions and travel had only just started again and he didn’t get here till the comp started I think.
And the second was international games and a holiday.
My thing is we (Sheens, Fruit Pascals and baggy pants), should have known we were buying a player who wasn’t gunna have a preseason with us until his third season. I reckon Sheens had a bee in his bonnet about getting rid of Hastings and getting Bateman, and the other two are just imbeciles who blindly follow Sheens.

All the above seems to me like , u all found another player to put shit on , just like when brooks was here , maybe u should look at it for what it is , brooks was terrible here , he has been great at manly , Bateman as been bad here , SIMPLE answer is we are a shit team , maybe with new players and more direction Bateman my do a brooks and improve, this putting all the blame on him is wrong , he didn’t missed many tackles but couldn’t find someone to run off. why is he currently playing in the UK? wouldnt exactly describe that as being a “fighter “..

Agree with you, BP.

The coaching staff and the club needs to learn how to extract the best out of players. Once they learn to do that, players will want to stay.

As fans, all we seem to do is shit on one player, then next.
