Both appeared to want out getting smashed every week and getting bagged for it is not everyone's go. Both will hold their own at their new clubs imo.

I agree on IP. I wished we had kept Papali'i. I don’t think he was overpaid and would have solved our lock problem.
I thought Bateman stifled our attack and structure with the ball. Defensively he did a lot of work but was overpriced for a tackle bot. I’m glad we have moved away from him even though I’m worried about our defence in 2025.

I agree on IP but how do we know he wanted to stay said all the right things on leaving but doubt he wanted to hang around remember some of his last games for parra was switching to lock and looked good took 1.5 seasons before we gave him a shot and played well there.

It's really weird.

Because the cowboys have a stack of Ex players around and Jason T, Coen H, etc...

Meh it worked out for them because they had 3 critical injuries and 2x of those were to the front row.

Still, looking at their squad now. They are looking like strong contenders for the Spoon. Particularly if Bateman starts being useful and telling Payten all the rookie mistakes he is making. So helpful that guy is.

Anything is possible, but it’s highly unlikely
 
I hate Richo’s crocodile roll bullshit, it’s as lame as can be - so that post from Bateman is quite funny.
That said, he’s not one of ours anymore so I can’t wait to see him melt up here in the north. Pomms cant hack the humidity very well, I don’t think he has thought this through completely.

He was good in the middle . Taking a roster spot on the edge . It’s that simple . Whether it’s the game plan , execution , intent , apathy I have no idea as to the reason .but I don’t think it’s debatable that much like Adam Blair before him , he never got off the starting block on the edge .
As a lock though he definitely will be missed .
I think he will be moved to the middle a lot sooner at the panthers than many think , if not straight away .

All things can be true at once . He can be still a useful footy player , Richos crocodile roll is a bit on the nose , and he’s a massive dickhead of a human.
