Sadly it does seem like member protests need to continue. I'd say Romero has until our last match against Parra to publicly confirm that every one of the reports recommendations will be enacted, with the new independent directors to be added by the end of September.
Anything less and the campaign to oust Romero, Burgess and co will have to ramp up again. They have time to do the right thing, fail and it's a declaration of war
Yes holding back is a concern , both Romero and the other donkey were punted and now seem to have slid back in , both need to be punted asap and the meetings need to be done yesterday , I read one meeting was cancelled due to Romero sending demands on emails , both need to go

Has anyone seen the movie The Natural with Robert Redford?

The plot of that movie kind of reminds me of this club a little bit. A majority owner did everything he could to make his baseball team lose so he could inherit a minority share & complete a full takeover lol

The current plot reminds me of Spartacus starring Kirk Douglas.

One of my favourite movies.

If Julie and Dennis maintain control and keep operating their little schemes, we need to reach out to the other debenture holders (ones more logical) and see if we can get them removed from their positions. As well as apply some media and ground swell pressure.

I hope @cochise is right and that the internal pressure will be enough. But I'm not confident with this lot...

Who are the silent 20 debenture holders?

Julie Romero, Dennis Burgess, Vince Tropiano, David Gilbert, Mick Liubinskas, John Hardgrove (deceased), & Russell Smith are 7 I'm aware of.

Why does Wests Ashfield need debenture holders? They have money from their pokies.
Pay out all debentures and be free of this obligation.

No Finals since 2011 and 3 x Wooden Spoons in 2022, 2023 & 2024, the Wests Tigers club need to hand in their NRL1st Grade Licence! Only 14 wins in three years with the final straw having over 60 points scored against them by the 2nd last team in the final 2024 battle for the spoon game.
Wests Tigers supporters please consider your thoughts before making any of the following responses:
1. I will be a supporter for life regardless of performances
2. We will be better next year in 2025
3. The club deserve to be in the NRL because the joint-venture teams Balmain & Wests are original clubs from 1908.
4. Plenty of other clubs have won Wooden Spoons.
4. The club has great Junior talent coming through the grades
5. Have you forgotten 2005?
Whilst I admire the club bringing in Richo to try and turn things around, the Wests Tigers need to just put a team in the NSW Cup (to appease current fans) and give their Licence back to the NRL where they can allocate a new licence to e.g.a QLD Cup side or another identified side from NZ, WA or Papua New Guinea etc. There are far too many sides from Sydney and surely Tigers supporters are so tired of seeing their club ridiculed in the media year after year as a result of officials making decisions bordering on lunacy.
Watching the WESTS TIGERS play in the NSW Cup would be more enjoyable where they may perform better and make finals (though not a given). If I were Wests Ashfield I would make a board decision for 2025 and refuse any further funding of the team in the NRL1st Grade.
Maybe private ownership is the only way out?
I am fully aware this post is full of negativity and supporters on this site are loaded with positive thinkers, but surely I am not the only fan who has finally put up the sign "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH "!

If you feel that strongly that you are wishing the club to fold, there is an alternative... just don't follow them?

We all get frustrated through the course of the year, particularly sitting down to watch yet another finals series without the Tigers, but the NRL needs a footprint in the south-west. The Tigers will be staying.

IMO Cronulla are very lucky they are a moderately successful club.
