Seriously I expect Luai to kill it, but I also expect us to be really rough for the first 12 rounds.....

Yet I expect Olam to improve out of sight. The guy was the biggest beast at the Melbourne storm in 2022 and if he was playing 2023 and 2024 with ACL damage... far out.

Potential starting pack for 2025;
Klemmer and RCG/Saifiti play the first 20-25 minutes at prop then replaced by Hunt and Pole.
Jack Williams/Kobe Hetheriington play the first 25-30 minutes at 13 then replaced by Latu Fainu.
Jack Bird plays the first 25-30 minutes at right edge then replaced by Alex Seyfarth.
That is 4 substitutions so far.
At around halftime or 50mins Api replaced by Jack Williams/Kobe Hetherington meaning either they play hooker, or they play 13 with Latu playing gooker.
At 55-60 minutes the props again get substituted.
That is 7 substitutions so far.
At around 60 minutes Bird is back on for Seyfarth.
At around 65-70 minutes Api is back on for Latu.
That is 9 subs with one spare for anything unplanned.

It would be great to have this detail after games of what subs/times actually took place.

the bateman stuff is funny . if he comes out here , stick him in reserve grade , and have him train at lidcombe each week. deny all mid season trips back home . and just performance manage him out , through breach of contract when he inevitably does his own thing.
theres a reason he pisses off home all the time. Enforce hes here on day 1 that hes supposed to be . no more special treatment , no more favours . he will be gone long before we get rid of him .
He did this to himself . No more wests tigers holiday camp , for retired geriatrics who think theyre special .

Hunt replaces Pole, very clear that one is a starter and one a bench prop. Or both bench props. They may both be on the field at the same time occasionally, but more by rotation than by deliberate game plan.

Galvin exceeded my expectations this year.

So long as him and JL are fit and are able to train and play together, I can’t see any scenario where they won’t gel in about 5 seconds. Mainly because Galvin has a lot more to give and he needs players around him who can capitalise

Apart from dragging Peter Wallace over, Andrew Leeds is another gatekeeper of the brutal regime lording over the Panthera. He should be stolen as well while we are partaking of staff. Neither will come quietly, so we will need cash.

I’m assuming we won’t be able to resist spilling some blood in the coaching and related ranks.

But like players, it’s wise to find a better person for the job before you swing the axe. But after such a miserable season, saying our patience has worn paper thin is an understatement.

I was ready to sack every staff member except Richo after spoon bowl, which I imagine is still a traumatic experience for many, otherwise in the sub-conscious, requiring that repressed memory therapy stuff to expel.

But as bad as thing get, cats and dogs remain safe around Death Valley and the eighth wonder.

I don’t know how we will go next year, but pre season is shaping up well so far.

Haha I’ve had enough of the Tigers by this time each year.
I like the escapism of forgetting they exist for a month or so.
Cowboys still kicking. I watched them live tonight. Go again next week.

Once he got that haircut, things started going badly for him.

The other club hero to resurrect would be young Ronnie.

We could at least give him a position watching the turnstiles click over and/or frisking persons of interest.

He’s such a nice bloke, he’d accidentally wish a snarling embittered terrorist scumbag a good day.

Sacking him was a lousy look and I reckon it didn’t help our game one iota.

Agree. However, who knows what silly clauses Senile Sheens and Pascoe put in his contract to allow him to holiday whenever he wants.
