Well it does seem you are offended on his behalf.
He is in a key position, he played poorly and his team has been knocked out.
It stands to reason Rugby League fans will comment on that. Go on LU and see what fans from every club are saying.

Not surprising. They like to run their mouths when Brooks was being carried by DCE and Turbo but are hiding when his ineptitude is too great for them to overcome.

I wonder who @batboy will blame for Brooks kicking out on the full or throwing it into the stands? Probably DCEs fault

The issue I have with Brooks and his fans and apologists in the media is that they all told us we were crazy. They told us we were disloyal. They told us it was our
team, not him. We were bringing him down and that he was much better than we were allowing him to be.

Turns out we were right, he can't handle the big occasions. He can't lift a team up when they need him. He just isn't and will never be the promise and potential all his supporters placed on him.

He chokes when he is needed most.

He is average!

If I was Tedesco, I’d be wondering why Brooks gets talked about so much more than him on here.

Losing Teddy was massive for us and sent us down the ladder. We actually won more games without Brooks.

I don’t think about Brooks unless the media bring him up or I see this thread popping up.

Brooks gets props for being loyal and trying hard - that's what we have become as supporters. That's why I was disappointed in Richo's congratulatory message
Just reinforced what losers we are unlike the club he went to - regardless of the goodwill intentions that some see it as.
He would have been eaten alive at every other club by the fans as a key player in a team that continually fails regardless of whether he deserved to be individually or not.
Look what Nicco has copped from a club that has finished 4th on the ladder. It comes with the territory.

Played his usual game like he did at wests tigers, kicking out on the full, man of the match lol

Wish he had of done that more often when kicking for touch after we got a penalty, would have been better than the usual 10 metres he gained or failing to find touch at all.

Couple of passes that failed to find the mark or sailed over the sideline, but you guys are much too hard on the poor guy because it was obviously due to nerves.

Give the guy a break it's only the second time in his whole career that he has played finals footy so of course he'd be a bit nervous. 🤣

Tommy went alright, pretty good actually, just can't work out why he couldn't catch a ball when he was here. 🤣

C’mon people?! Manly were well contained by the chooks. You could justifiably argue that all manly players had a less than perfect game. The ref didn’t do them any favours either.
DCE’s and Brown’s defence wasn’t finals level stuff, but not a word from the critics?
losing Koula after 20sec and having Turbo unfit didn’t help their cause, but hey? If that was my team I would be pretty happy with the courage they displayed during the game and their overall season.
