In the first section of this article there's this gem (my
bold emphasis):
"The NRL swiftly responded
after the game by releasing
secret vision — only available to the officials in the bunker — that showed the ball was held up by Penrith defenders."
Seriously, telling the media
AFTER the game is considered swift and not telling the public at the time is OK??
Then, about half-way down the page is the headline "Hidden footage of controversial call" and the following explanation:
"But it turns out the Bunker was looking at a different replay angle that showed the ball didn’t touch the ground. The footage has been shown to media at the ground but is yet to be released publicly.
NCA Newswire’s Martin Gabor tweeted: “Fair play to the NRL. We’ve been shown a high resolution replay and there is no point when the ball touches the ground. Jack Howarth did NOT score. I thought it was definitely a try at the time.”
So all I am saying is that if there was conclusive evidence at the time then why wasn't it broadcast at the time?
