Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Did the above suggestion apply to Ivan when he was at the tigers.
Ie did he experience this toxic culture they speak of?
It was nothing about a toxic culture. It was all about Ivan wanting to coach his son. Ivan had to decide where he would coach and decided it would be Penrith even though he was legally attached to the Tigers.

Which experienced NRL forward is not expected to be at his club next season, despite being contracted and having played more than 20 games this year for the top 8 side?

🤔

It's not just the damage to the players, half the people on here laugh about this club and more often than not it can be justified, the place is not only a challenge for Richo, at least he gets paid to do what he is doing, which is more than the long suffering and challenged supporters get.

We have trouble signing players and I am really struggling when it comes to signing up for a membership which I allowed to lapse this last season after being a member for many years.
How much patience do supporters have before the club ceases to be a "Laughing Stock"? The powers to be need to identify a support/assistant coach who can introduce DEFENCE as the number one KPI (with results on game day and not just on the training paddock). The 60+ points scored by the Eels in the final game of this season surely has the board, coaches, fans, sponsors and committee members concerned again for 2025? The Dogs found a way of making defence a priority, so surely the Tigers can turn it around.

At present there is nobody in the club that is capable of turning around it around. If the present coaching staff was sacked and replaced with capable staff there could be a chance the club could work itself out of its serious predictament.

One of Hodgo's strengths was his back up play through the ruck. Todd Payten Lafranchi, Galea only had to get their arms free and he was there for the offload. If he can get Bula to do this more and not just rely on sweeping plays, Bula will add so much more to our attack.
That sounds interesting, particularly what Api can do with ball movement out of the ruck.
It is pretty sad to watch though, API throws it and it's slow-mo from there.

Ofcourse this would be good to see and Yes the WT would benefit from this. It's not priority NR1 though.

I think there's little chance Faagutu or saukuru go. They're currently our second best young prop and best young outside back
I hope you are right mate! I reckon Saukuru would have made his debut at the end of the season had he not been injured. If he can smash out his fitness over the pre-season and work on his defence, he could be a real weapon. I was impressed with his work with the ball (including yardage) in what was a very poor KOE Cup team.

Keeping Fa'agutu back in Flegg all year was hopefully more tactical rather than based on where he ranks in the pecking order. Was actually surprised he didn't beat out Tofaeono for Flegg Player of the Year.

For those 2 players, they have the makings of quality NRL players. It comes down to how badly they want to work for it!
