Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

chammas reading my posts ? or is he feeding me intel 😂

looks like we have budged in that 200k , 300k now the suggested mark, if manly dont take him i would be very suprised

yes we will be paying for him to play elsewhere, but he will be toxic in the dressing room

agree we are short on backrowers
who is availble ?
I'd hope you could tell us this who's available/likely

Then another bottom 4 result is coming.

So what exactly are you saying? We should just keep signing middles and have 1/3 of our squad tied up? It gets tiresome when people keep saying the same thing with no reasonable solution or zero thought taking into account the hurdles that are involved in such nonsensical ideas.

Until we can find homes for Klemmer and one other, it's simply ridiculous to just keep saying "buy middles".

Note, that rant isn't something directed at you.

I believe it’s inevitable that Galvin will move to the back row, either an edge or lock. Once he gets some muscle on his frame, and hence the extra weight, he won’t be quick enough at 5/8 and will have more impact receiving the ball either a little wider or using his passing game as a link player.
As his mobility slows down I think that opposition clubs will work him out at 5/8 without the genuine speed to make him less predictable.
I believe he will hang on to 5/8 as long as he can however, maybe a couple of seasons. He probably is already aware of this but will enjoy having his hands on the ball as much as possible until then.
However I can see him as a Yeo type lock where he could still play like a half and enjoy running the ball as well.

I 100% believe we need to bring in another middle for next year, I agree it unbalances our roster but when we have so many non-contributors in our squad already I don't really see what else we can do.

I would be trying to move on Klemm, Twal and due to the difficulties of moving on the first 2 would look at moving Seyfarth, but we need to bring someone else in regardless as we can't go in with the starting pack we have now.

Sione is potentially our best middle. Need to lock him in first before looking outside.

The Dogs showed this year its more about effort. If Pole, Hunt, Sione and Twal/Seyfarth play with the right intensity they can do the job. Pole needs to improve his defence, and Sione needs to continue on his current trajectory, but it's very possible they can form a strong group working together. That's the challenge for Benji

Isn’t it a bit late, no decent forwards are left available for next season and it’s looking highly unlikely any decent forwards will be released from their current contracts.
I agree we have not done well enough with our recruitment, this should have been addressed before now when a few decent players were available.

I'm hoping we can sort something out, otherwise it will be another tough year.

What we have won’t get it done.
The Sione love is a bit premature.

Show pony, you always come after the news breaks

No one thought Curran, Hughes and King could get it done either. I would argue our group of middles have more talent than them. So it comes down to heart, effort and fitness.

I'm all for buying a Leo Thompson, even a Rudolph to replace Klemmer, but I'm totally against adding them to our current squad.

I agree on Klemmer and Twal and could be talked into Seyfarth but where are their replacements coming from? There just isn’t enough talent coming on to the market.
