Personally just think we're being used as a bargaining tool. Hope I'm wrong I'd hate to lose him, we should have prioritised him over stephano. Just have to see how it all plays out in the end.

How do we know that they havent been trying to extend him for months ?

You are probarbly right, if that's the case though why would he be telling everyone hes wanting to stay. Just tell the manager you want the best deal you can get at the Tigers.

Sure he would be a loss for this year but he's still got one year left on his contract. If he leaves the club in 26 I'm not too concerned as we have the cash and roster spots to get a major upgrade.

Although if someone asks him a question In a media imterview if he wants to remain at the club, whilst he still has over a year remailing on his current contract, he is hardly going to say publicly otherwise right ?

They have made their best offer I assume …so lets hope he stays anyway ...I think he still hasn’t reached his ceiling … but given that he is still contracted for another 12 months ..I think there are other more immediate concerns

Agreed, probably more so from a stand point of what he brought to our team and the hole he left. Post Tigers he has been underwhelming.
