hahaha fair call - but i am yet to see any form of stubbornness in him unless I am missing reading the tea leaves.I think you under-estimate the stubbornness of the Coach.

I would just love to see a high profile signing do well for once at our club.
It has been a long time - Gareth Ellis i feel was very under valued and then arrived like a freight train that we can never been able to replicate.
Gareth Ellis, to me, was almost the most complete backrower I have ever seen play the game outside of Bradley Clyde.
If I'm one of the fat club, the last thing I'd want is the media knowing about it. This affects how they are viewed by their peers and any future club signing them.
The only logic behind it I can see is that the club named and shamed them in front of the rest of the players.
To a point - but i am thinking more his coaching rather than what happened within his playing contractsSensationally quitting the club in 2013 because we didn't want to give him an extension for 2016/2017
right then - Is fairly Stubborn you'd reckon.
There's been other instances, No point re-visiting them now...
I've said it before - Whatever Benji wants, He'll get.

Reports are that the two fronting the board have multiple infringements. There would be steps the club needs to take to get to the point of handing down a show cause notice. So what’s stopping one of the non named from passing it on to his player manager? This stuff doesn’t stay long within the player group …as we have found out already …
Perhaps this could have been leaked to the RLPA if one or more of the players approached them for advice
Any theories as why only 2 of the 5 have to front the board, and not the other 3?

Some might say "no news is good news".Another boring week of no news.
He would have to play back row.We have way to many good young hookers coming through, it won’t happen. On this area we are spoilt for choice. We need fast outside backs and better bsckrowers.

Well in the Matt Lodge article today, Lodge is quoted as saying Manly wanted to keep him but couldn't afford any more than $150k under the salary cap. So how are they going to afford Bateman unless we pay 75% of his salary!I can totally see Manly taking him on, given we will probably be chipping in a decent amount of money to get rid of him.
keep in mind that a lot of teams divide their salary cap amongst positional groups.Well in the Matt Lodge article today, Lodge is quoted as saying Manly wanted to keep him but couldn't afford any more than $150k under the salary cap. I suspect that's what every club says. "Sorry, can't fit you under the cap"Well in the Matt Lodge article today, Lodge is quoted as saying Manly wanted to keep him but couldn't afford any more than $150k under the salary cap. So how are they going to afford Bateman unless we pay 75% of his salary!
