Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

For mine we are one experienced FG second row/lock that can dent/play at the line short from having a good foundation. With the exception of Galvin at 5/8 and TDS as back up/resting Api it would be great for our rising stars to have a season or two in Ressies getting FG time when the inevitable injuries, suspensions and SOO commitments come about.

With our off contract list for 26 we have the potential to build a strong side for a shot at the title 26-30.

More importantly with the improved roster across the board (not great - but improved) we will get the opportunity to answer the big question - can Benji coach? I have the feeling that Richo believes he has the goods and with the right roster will turn the joint around. I trust that he has a backup plan Justin (Just in Case - not Pascoe).

I've seen enough indicators that the coaching staff were putting some good stuff together off the field that was poorly, or inconsistently, executed on it. I'm not won over by Benji yet but there are clues that he may be able to pull it off with the right roster. On the other hand the Spoonbowl loss was one of the worst coaching mishaps I think I have ever seen - completely got the prep for that game wrong. Something I trust that he has learnt from.

I trust Richo has more signing and retention news, but this is a good start. We have some exciting times ahead.

On par with Steph? He sh!ts all over Stef. Huge upgrade.

On form last year of course he did, but lets not rewrite history mate. Stef has a very high ceiling and will probably go on to be a gun prop. May is probably on par with him, im happy with the like for like replacement given the output of Stef last season.

People will be lamenting big time watching Stef in the Storm system. Hopefully May is motivated to play here.

The days of the big lumbering, Frankenstein prop like Stef are done (we’ve still got one in Klemmer). Stef will still be good to run over a few blokes and score a few tries, but in the current game his ceiling has lowered signifantly.

All the top props are fast twitch athletes. IMO Haas, AFB and May will be the best 3 props in the game going forward.
