Yeah Matamua put in a couple of really good performances in KOE last year that had NRL player written all over them. We've tried the prop at lock for a few years now.
Find the Matamua name drop interesting.
He's got the prop size but the skills from coming through as a half... think he could really do something in the #13.
Richo alluding to body shapes looking different. I'm very interested to see who's named at lock in round 1 and hopefully its time Juzzy lives up to the hype.
They were sold a VISION by Benji and Richo. We've certainly done Luai some favours in the last 6 months in terms of who we've put around him.
It's easy to forget that when Luai signed on, it was a giant leap of faith;
- Galvin was a virtual unknown in the NRL community
- The club has since signed Hunt, May, Bird, Skelton, Turuva, Olam
- They've extended junior talent like Pole and Makasini
I think he'd be quite pleased with what Richo and Benji have done to turn the club around in such a short time. Whilst not complete, they've sure as hell set him up for success compared to the squad we ran out in '24.
I hope so, without Bateman we are light on for edge forwardsPersonally I think Matamua will do better on an edge and hoping to see him at 2nd row this year think he could be a revelation

Wednesday he was down thereDon't know
Where did you find out?Wednesday he was down there
Whatever shenanigans are going on by the blazer club don’t seem to be stopping the CEO from making moves, thankfully.Let’s not get too excited friends. In the past a string of good news or results is typically followed by some crap at board or HBG level. Let’s hope times are a changing!
I saw him having a coffee with Peter Mousa before they went into the offices.Where did you find out?
Luai can't fix the worst defensive side on the right. Right second row and right centre are a massive weak point in the team. Also no guarantee the new signings will pay off, even though it looks good on paper, anyone who gets into the Tigers culture changes, James Tamou springs to mindIf I was Luai I would be very excited for the squad Benji is building him.

Which edge players are you worried about specifically? I’m tipping they won’t be in FG.Luai can't fix the worst defensive side on the right. Right second row. Options are bateman, porter, jack bird maybe. Right centre is doueihi, faataape, or bird. Horrid. Barely first graders nowWhich edge players are you worried about specifically? I’m tipping they won’t be in FG.
At concord
Bateman can tackle, I think Turuva and Olam if fit, start in the centres. Seyfarth the other option.Right second row. Options are bateman, porter, jack bird maybe. Right centre is doueihi, faataape, or bird. Horrid. Barely first graders now
I wouldn't have named any of them at right sr or centre for next yr in our current squad. Jack Bird perhaps although see him at lockRight second row. Options are bateman, porter, jack bird maybe. Right centre is doueihi, faataape, or bird. Horrid. Barely first graders now
