I've never heard him say he hates defending. He clearly does, but I've never heard him say it, let alone multiple times in press conferences.

In 2025 AD is what every one wants in their roster. A cheap experienced versatile player. Okay he has issues in defence, but for a guy on a very modest contract he is good to have on the books. Sadly we need roster spots so he is probably the most likely to get a nibble. If we were paying him 500g it would be completely different. Okay unlikely to get in the first up 17 but when injuries and suspensions hit he is better than players we have used in the past on the same coin

I really don't understand this. If he can't tackle it doesn't matter how cheap he is, he'll lose you games.
