Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

That fact he struggles to bulk up is confirming my doubts about him transitioning into a srf. I hope he kills it at 5/8 anyway.
lol lots of young men at his age struggle to put on weight especially training a lot. Don’t forget at that age, young and dumb (?) and full of come. lol apologies could not help myself. Bu is true!

Show me another coach who says it as much as Benji

It’s embarrassing

Watch the presser - at the end Benji rants about family

It’s unnecessary

It’s implied.

I think it’ll be his undoing

That or is he’d successful he’ll be a pioneer

It’s clear benji is a great human

But he’s not there to make sure players have a happy marriage when theyretire

He’s there to win football games
So, what do you want, Benji kicked out of our club because he loves his family more than he loves this club.

I had a couple of mates that were told to eat the same diet in an aid to bulk up. They just couldn’t. One is still a 6ft pole and the other is a 5ft skewer.

Surely <10% is a little bit exaggerated? He works in the NRL department of Fox Sports and is on camera a lot, consults with the Roosters and the Storm and is a director of the QRL.
I wouldnt confuse the coaching staff doing extras with the players doing them.
Not sure why he would exaggerate. I am not confusing anything. I replied to a comment that Benji should be telling the players football is everything. I was simply highlighting the amount of time one of the best halves dedicated himself to the game.

i want benji to stop saying at press conferences that footy isnt everything.

his job is to win footy games.

im sure all coaches and players love famiy more than footy - but they dont say it

they say winning is everything

and i think that when you dont have that attitude -- it is harder to compete with the teams and coaches who do have that mindset -- particularly when the competition is so even other than the top 4.

what did they eat the other 3 nights? KFC?…

I don’t mind it ..but once a month these days is plenty for me …👍
Have no idea but how do people do that to themselves?
They had a Japanese homestay girl who requested a change once she realised how they ate.
As I said I had it once in twelve years. Unfortunately that was recently after a motorcycle swap meet in Port. Had the McValue Swill. My God it was awful.

He’s the biggest douchebag ex player currently in the media. With Woods a close second. The breakfast show they will be doing will be the kind of show that gets played in hell’s waiting room.
Beau Ryan and Woods the biggest douche's.

Gordon Tallis beats both of them put together. Although I guess the media has gone off him a bit.
..

BTW hell's waiting room. Is working in an office with TODAY FM on all day. It's like a under 16's girls camp where they play the top 5 singles over and over again. MAN THAT SUCKED!

Did Bennet say family is more important than football in those quotes ?

Also there’s many people - and books - written about Bennet that he uses that to manipulate players and then dumps them after

Whereas I think benji is more authentic about it than Wayne - and that’s the point

Bennet uses it as a tool to get his players to love him

Benji actually means it - “football is a tiny thing compared to family” quote from Benji the other day

I love Benji btw

No way we get luai or May without Benji

But he needs to stop saying stuff that seems like we aren’t a club that will die to win football games

Watched Galvin interview , doesn’t seem ina. Rush to sign up , says still got a year to go so worry about football for now , , is impressed with the new signings , I would have thought he would be saying training now and will look at future early new year , still think others are out there after him on the side ( Dogs & Roosters )

Probably got someone smart enough in his ear saying talk is cheap now and let’s see how they actually play on the field next season ..

I think you will find it is something the club or Benji has decided to do as a point of difference otherwise Richo would shut it down.

Anyone with 2 minutes of media training knows that whenever the opportunity arises you bang home you key points. Watch any politician and they do it all the time.

eg: Question: Will the tiger's make the top 8 next year.

Answer: Great question; We can't guarantee a top 8 finish; but we always aim for winning the comptetion. There are so many variables, injuries, bounce of the ball etc. What I can tell you though that at Wests Tigers we put family first......
