I was with you until you said much has changed since he signed. We got another spoon We’ve made a couple good signings. But nothing changes until we start winning games. Surely everyone knows better by now than to go off early, claiming whole heartedly that we have finally turned the corner before the results even come.I wouldn’t worry about all of these clauses reported in the media. It’s a media beat up because we are the tigers. Luai wants to make a difference. If things are shit I reckon he’ll still stay his 3rd year and see how we are. If we haven’t changed in 3 years then there is something really deeper wrong with our club. Remember he signed this contract almost 12 months ago. A lot has changed since then, and to be honest luai’s value has actually gone up with what he did without Cleary, in origin and also winning another comp! The media shouldn’t be writing about the clauses, they should be writing about how much of a bargain the tigers got! But of course they won’t….because we are the tigers!
Depends on which media's stats but typically around 9th or 10th.That sounds pretty good. Where does he stand in relation to the other 16 fullbacks for this year.
There’s no positive at all to him leaving. I’ve read comments like “If he leaves after two years than he’s obviously not done his job”. Seriously? If a half coming off four consecutive premiership wins comes here and fails, it says more about the club than the player. Especially when you look at the long list of players that have come here in the past and failed. Luai would just be a new low. And idk where the club would go if he doesn’t work out. We’ll see though. Why is everyone so positive about luais clauses on here
Yes, he doesnt shirk his work in attack. He averages 18 runs per game and just over 160m per game. His linebreak totals arent great but his tacklebreaks are pretty good. His linebreak assists are adequate but his error totals need to decrease. His player in support stats are really good...top 10 in the comp with all 9 in front of him playing more games, yet not being out of touch.I hear this theory a lot, that Bula doesn't get involved enough. He was 22nd in the entire comp in runs. He aint lazy.
People are desperate and Luai's signature brought hope. The majority have gone all in on Richo and Jarome being the saviours. Why is everyone so positive about luais clauses on here
Like if the tigers got another wooden spoon everyone would be saying it’s good because it makes us stronger lol
It’s sh’t
We’re sh*t
he wanted the clauses bc we suck and he wants an exit plan if it goes to sh*t
The end.
Who cares - it's a private negotiation and there's no obligation to advise or any other party of the contract. Will Galvin’s extension have any clauses?
You may be wrong.Just another thing on the Luai clause. It would be one thing if the clause was he had the option to activate the remaining 3 years after 2026, and it’s done. But it seems like it’s a year by year thing. So he could leave anytime, even if it’s in the middle of the season. I doubt it would come to that, but that’s how it comes across to me.
It's business between he and the club and no-one else's.She'll be as chockfull as a Thai ladyboy
Then we'll have time for other things. We always seem to have a great white hope. If we are in such a perilous position that Luai leaves after two years, there’s no hope for this club.
Richo will only hang around if HBG don’t fck it upPeople are desperate and Luai's signature brought hope. The majority have gone all in on Richo and Jarome being the saviours.
Yes this is my point also...itll take a huge effort to lift us out of the bog. The good news is that we do have a handy roster, capable of maybe even reaching the top 8 in 2025. Theres big question marks over everything else though and thats where my interest laysRicho will only hang around if HBG don’t fck it up
I think Richo came in at the last minute
Hard to steer negotiations after they’ve already started
The proof in Richo will be extending galvin
Mind you Richo is top handful of administrators in the game
Not many have taken 3 clubs to premierships and a 4th to a GF
But he’s dealing with a sh*t club
When you’ve got people like julie Romero and burgess blonde wig guitar coach as your bosses - with Lee ego maniac Ferrari driving 6yr old level let me show you what I got from santa for Xmas a new hat … and then Justin dopey loser Ricky gervais from the office still leaking to the media and then Benji I like to have fun Weeeeeee let’s all play in the sand box but also like I’ll dob you into the board if you aren’t serious …
I mean Richo is on a hiding to nothing with this club
Benji was more interested in bringing back the 2005 jersey and dropping a “sick” TikTok than brining spew buckets for the players to vomit up hard work and eat some steel.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Richo is doing his best with the good ship Lolly pop
How much smaller is he than Hodgson in 2005?Actually, I watch every game. Statistics can be interpreted any way you like.
I will suggest the reason Bula gets so many runs is because opposition teams mostly kick to him because they want him returning the ball on play 1. Because he is lithe he often gets pushed back in contact and it sets our opposition up very well for their defensive set a poorly sets up our attacking set.
Upon reflection, I shouldn’t have said I would be “happy” if Bula left. I should have said I’d be “indifferent” if he left. I believe you could replace his output with a player costing significantly less than what we are paying Bula.
Anyway, I hope he grows and succeeds with our club given the importance of the fullback position in today’s game.
JL has already played a valuable part for the 2 years. Now it’s up to the club to capitalise. JL will only go if the club fails. Not a reflection of himself. He will play his part and then some. Leaving would not be a reflection of himself. Will be more so if the club and the team. If everyone else put in what he says we will win 2 comps in his time here. It simple as that. The rest is just excuses. I was referring to when he signed we didn’t have Turuiva, hunt, Skelton, Bird and May. Plus the emergence of Galvin. A lot has changed.I was with you until you said much has changed since he signed. We got another spoon We’ve made a couple good signings. But nothing changes until we start winning games.
