Yeah I’ve had plenty to do with horses spent nearly every weekend on them growing up on farm. Broke a few too
But never really got into punting.
Have no idea who to bet on but gonna have a crack

You can choose your bet by

The name of the horse
The name of the jockey
The name of the trainer
The colours worn by the jockey
Race conditions
The barrier position
The weights
How the horse looks as it parades
Form guide, including horse age, class, speed ratings and recent history
Expert opinions
Price fluctuations and "following the money"
Hunch, feeling or vibe, or maybe even birth dates

The thing is: "Losing is optional"
The general rule is "Never bet more than you can afford"
And for today: "Remember to have FUN"

I mentioned on the forum somewhere in about June last year that I had bought a filly who was bred on the stud I work on.

I fell in love with her and…shes a 2yo by Rich Enuff out of a mare called Tiger’s Girl (by Tiger Hill 😂👍).

She’s had a couple of short preps but is being picked up by the trainer tomorrow for her first serious one. Trainer likes her but they all say that.

Still unnamed. We put it to a vote and although I’m the majority shareholder I just went by the numbers, not weighted for ownership shareholding.

The vote was “Tiger Lili” which I haven’t tried to register yet, although there is another horse recently registered called Tiger Lily. That might cause a revote.

My choice was “Ninth Again”.

AH, there is a reason bookies drive a Merc to the races and punters take the bus or train or tram 😀😀

Before high end computers came on the scene a punter could do OK. Now with the computer edge and bigger bookie/TAB takeouts it’s a lot harder.

However, every now and then I hear a few things and will be happy to pass them on.

It’s not as if the 4-5 racing fans on WTF will affect the price 👍
