I’ve got a dozen micro shares in Just Fine, running in the Cup on Tuesday. Very exciting to have a runner, even though he’s been a bit in and out.
Expected to lead and hopefully runs a good race. Fingers crossed.

Mrs nephews are part owners of Sea King that has qualified for the Cup

sea king has pretty good form through ebor lines, pretty good chance jockey a bit of a worry but got to be in to win it

Yes, I backed it on the Tab futures market before it won the qualifying race, the start before last. Got 101/26.75 so all set there, now just has to run the race of its life.
I’m quite involved now with My Racehorse micro share syndications and have 9 horses in my stable( all with top trainers). Lots of fun without massive outlay. Gives an added edge to my horse racing involvement. Been a punter all my life but this is first time as an owner ( albeit small total shares).

Anyway Lodge the Deeds saluted which was good but for the first time ever Vision and Power ran poorly. Not sure what ill do with him next start.

The shares cost me about $2000 so a small price to pay for the fun I’ve had with this horse. Being a regular Melbourne racegoer ( every Saturday, rain , hail or shine) it’s something you think about fleetingly and now it’s happening.
I’ve scored a Members Stand ticket so will have my best old suit on and ready for the day. I’m usually on the other side of the fence so will be a thrill in more ways than one. Something this old timer can tick off his bucket list.
Now what’s next on that list, right, a date with Heidi Klum, that will be a lot more difficult …. But not impossible !
Then another Tigers premiership . Mmmm. Hope they don’t wait too long or I might miss it. lol.

FYI Just Fine has now won 5 races for the syndicate since it came from the UK. It was one of the Queens, and later Kings horses sold at a dispersal sale. Gai snapped it up for $685k and to date has won $1,055m including the Group 1 Metropolitan and G3 Bart Cummings, so it’s more than paid its way.
It would be nice to dream even a Top 5 finish in the Cup although they pay $160k down to 12th, not that it’s about the money. The excitement is palpable.
First things first, I’m off to Derby Day tomorrow, a day I always look forward to.
I’m tipping No 7 ew in the Derby. Thought it was a good run last start at the Valley, reasonable odds and Frosty Lane to ride.

yes mate I was very lucky turned $7,500 into 187,500 for my 25% share
I was doing some work for Hayes at the time and picked her out of a paddock lol
I have had some other ones since but nothing like her.

used to ride track work for gai back in the day, she used to say everything will win like her old man used to.
