Anyone go to the training session today? 🫡🔥🔥 Anything interesting, surprising or exciting in terms of player positions, how they look fitness wise, how intense training was compared to previous years, the new recruits etc. please mention??

I took my kids out. As mentioned by the earlier poster, left side was Skelton wing, Olam centre, Sam Fainu back row, Jerome halves. Right side Turuva wing, Toa, Seyfarth, Galvin. Bird at lock. Luke L and Lobb on wings for the reserves. Charlie Stains had some time in both teams

To be honest some of the passing drills looked a bit slow (with the exception of Jerome).

Not sure who left side backrow was for the reserves but had an inside run from a Latu Fainu ball and split the first team right side defence easily.

Last chance for T’oa if he’s our starting centre

He’s the most consistent inconsistently player I’ve ever seen. One game he absolutely schools Holmes, the next he would struggle to make the bench on a park footy team

What was the line up for the B Team ?
Was watching the A group so I don’t remember them all but I remember seeing Sullivan, Latu, Naden, Johanssen, Lobb (outjumped Skelton for a try), Feledy, Porter, L Laullili, Sione Fainu, and Tumeth. I think Klemmer might have been there too.

Forgot to mention Luai put in a beautiful grubber for Seyfarth to score who was the right edge back rower.

Couple of things I noticed today. Couple of surprises but not anything crazy.

Bird training at lock
Skelton on the left wing and Turuva right wing
Olam and To’a centres
Doueihi not training

Luai looked good. Bird looks fit.

I think it was Tim Johanssen running second to Galvin in the fitness drills. Bird and Bula not far behind but Galvin almost lapped the others. Hunt out the back which shouldn’t be a surprise.
Thanks for that.

Really awesome to hear Bird is up there in fitness, very positive sign.

For anyone interested.

Is this an option for anyone in the area, to go in, to the stands and watch them train? I wasn’t able to go today so I was thinking of dropping in sometime next week.
Mate I’ve been down to training several times since they’ve been at coe. Normally around 10am is a good time, gates are open and I park in their carpark at the back. Mostly in the early part of the off season they train on the fields at the back across the road.

Well. Depends on the way you look at it. Full team is not training yet, so maybe they're just filling in the gaps, taking injuries in to account, just planning ahead. Maybe it was the weather, someone's battery died. Who knows. Maybe the orange apparel was a better fit than the black. You have to take into consideration that black soaks in the sun more than orange. Dont you think it's better we cover all our bases? It's not just 13. It's 30.

Good interviews. They weren’t saying usual cliche. May in particular. Very honest, no b.s.

They’re all back now mate , bar May and the Englishman . When the Englishman goes , we hopefully have an edge back rower lined up . That might be where there’s change . Otherwise that’s pretty close to it , for better or worse !

I thought it so good how they introduced our new recruits. Like a boxer heading into the ring. I got a call out for work so I didn’t stay long but a couple of points. Royce Hunt is seriously one of the biggest blokes I have stood next to, an absolute man mountain. Galvin flogged them in those fitness drills they did early in the session. Romey did everything at very quick speed which will help Api immensely. Those two constantly next to each other. I watched a couple of sessions last year and it was a very flat vibe. I know yesterday was a bit of a pumped up session having fans there but there was a real good vibe. I sound like the movie the Csstle “its the vibe of it”. It did feel like a real good energy about the place which was a nice change

Royce Hunt is HUGE!! Got a pic with him and I look like a little kid hahaha (I'm about 5'6") LOVED sending it to my Sharkies brother and reminding him he's ours now. Bro is still peed off ... His reply: Hell yeah!! I'm telling you sis, he's a good one. Go Royce you big man!"

That game v Holmes was a one off S2B, he rarely did anything before or since. And injury prone as well !
