Question for the forum, do you see Latu more as a halfback or a 5/8?

I have him next in line for halfback when Romey is on origin duty but apparently played more five-eighth coming through the grades...

His best asset is his running game, I think it lessens his impact of trying to make him a controlling halfback.
Galvin is more of a 7 as his strength is being on the ball and at the opposition constantly. His running game is not as lethal as Latu’s.

People might think i’m getting a bit carried away but Makasini is NRL ready now. Scored a classy try where no one laid a hand on him & just physically you wouldn’t think this kid is only 17 years old. Api was classy around the ruck but the best on ground for me was probably Latu Fainu was very sharp & had some bloody nice touches.

Good enough, old enough. We need to be feeding the early ball to the Big Mak!

Why do you doubt that? It’s easy to scoff at now, but there was a lot of enthusiasm around him when he signed. Plus, he was being positioned as a starting half. And that’s about the going rate for starting halves these days. If that figure is not correct, it’s not far off.

Not sure if todays setup is set in stone given it’s December but yeah it looked like black was As and orange was Bs.

Agree plus Latu doesn't seem to have a huge controlling voice to direct traffic.

If he isn’t the 7 in first grade then he needs to perfect 7 in Reserve grade before stepping up in 26/27.
If he is patient, he can have a long career there. If he rides the pine all year in first grade, his development will stall.

There was never any doubt that he'd still be playing rugby next year. He's the best player in GPS rugby, on a scholarship.
Too what extent he plays though remains to be seen
