Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Off season questions for the forum. Who do we as the answers to the below for season 2025, I’ll go first:

Biggest surprise packet: Heath Mason. I reckon he’s got something. Just depends what game time he will get I guess but would love to see him develop into a Connor Watson type.

Most improved: Alex Seyfarth. I feel the way our squad is we will be relying on him a bit. With more quality around him I feel he will continue to improve.

Least improved / regression: Alex Twal. Close one with Olam I reckon but he is based on fitness / injury. I think Twal needs a big year to justify his position in the team. His games needs to develop.

I think you’re right in that one or more of the “kids” will make a huge leap this year. Hopefully their early than expected NRL experience will plus a more intensive offseason will play into our hands.

In terms of regression, I am also hoping that the new signings and offseason benefits that we won’t have too many. We have raised the tide and that should benefit everyone.

Mason can do it as long as it's not at fullback. I reckon he's got something as well, anywhere in the backline bar No1. No.9, he'd kill it.
I think the whole pack will improve with the presence of May. Big year for Fainu and Seyfarth, even a return to form for Klem.
Twal might not be able to keep up.
I also think Latu might have a breakout year if he can stay fit. Could be our best, in a few positions.

Where else do you see Mason?

Hope Johannssen has a big year.... And Toa too

Disagree. Good enough. Old enough.

The only way to get experience in a role is to do it.

Much like knocking Benji as a head coach, there is no better experience than doing the job.

We have already lost Large. Cant lose Big Mak.
We literally just re-signed him. I'm sure he'll play first grade this year, just don't think they should push him too hard. Benji openly admitted he had Galvin playing too much footy this year.

I agree old enough, good enough, it's just about player management that's all.
