Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

first of all, great attitude. very willing in defensive contact and has excellent technique. lateral movement could be better, but it's not terrible.

Masi's main issue will be making reads when there's NRL-calibre players throwing shapes at him at speeds he's never encountered. in the times I've watched him that's really only been the major issue.
In the rugby game against NZ schools he made a number of poor defensive reads - did a Nofo! Was very good of the ball defensively and covered a number of dangerous situations.

If Taylan May can have his case transferred to Queensland and gets the same magistrate that Mam got, it will all be sweet.
Both are pretty lame people.

But if they’re allowed to play, they’re allowed to play I suppose. I’d take May.

We need a legit back rower. Seyfarth cannot start in our team.

Tomato tomata at this point, we've got a seriously
good team on paper here. Anything is possible. I
can recall 2 months ago when I was happy if we
signed Horsborough or Hetherington but we did
(IMO) better with May & Hunt. Our depth is decent —
obviously (right) 2nd row & centre need adjusting
but we could see some surprises there. Lomax at
right centre would have been crazy. We're not far off.
Seriously good is a stretch .....we are probably 4 good players away from being seriously good

Tim J second row for the 10,000th time
Tim J surprised me on Saturday with the long distance run, whereby he was second for most of it to Galvin who nearly lapped a few in the breach club. He looked extremely fit as did the team compared to last years training sessions I viewed.

Whilst it is a long way to the start of round 1, the nucleus of the side is strong and depth is better than previous seasons. That with a touch of youth and class of the new signings has me optimistic of a good season ahead.

Few players did not train at all; Twal, Hunt, May, Klemmer, Douehi.
