Why would the NRL allow him to be included in the top 30 on the WT website if thats the case? Seems the cart is before the horse...

May has agreed to terms & would have definitely signed something. Is being paid otherwise he wouldn't be at training or doing media.
The question is where is the Miller situation up to.
We seemed to have 31 players signed but when the squad was released Faagutu no longer there. Paid out you'd assume. Miller, sacked basically, you would assume once this finalised then May will be lodged with the NRL.
When Bateman & Sullivan go, Sione will be upgraded.
Pending cap space I think we hold the last spot to see what happens with Taylan.
We probably need another back rower but nothing on the market.
2026 I see us looking for 2 more forwards & pending Taylan a gun centre.
He is, he took the 30th spot on the roster. There's been some confusion for some reason. But he is 100% part of the club top 30.
I’m still in two minds with this move. If Galvin sodds off and Latu’s hamstring issue continues then where will we be?? We have lost most of our junior halves talent. Just not sure to move him on until Galvin locks up!!

I think it wouldn’t happen in 2025. If Taylan May and Makasini become starters in 2026 add in two more plus our dev players..we’ll be looking very good

Sullivan comes across a s a pretty good guy, I wish him the best (except when he plays the Tigers).
Feel same way about Bud.
He hasn’t shrugged away from anything or gone sooking, he has bunkered down and trained hard.
Him smiling and all at the fan day speaks volumes as well.
Am also nervous about him going, get it but prefer others went ahead of him.
I’m a huge Latu fan before he joined but his body has had issues & his tackle technique worries me (concussions) if they still happen then we will need plenty of depth to cover.
They had the best second rower in the comp this year. Centre is not as important as it used to be but second row is majorly important in the modern game. Every single top 8 team has at least one gun second rower.
Sam fainu has massive potential to be the best second rower we've had since Ellis, but we clearly need another.

Interesting if thats true. Given the cash available from flicking Klemmer and the direct of the club/ positive recruitment/ NZ link re. Benji. I reckon he probably just doesn't want to live in the city.
