Tim J second row for the 10,000th time

Tim J surprised me on Saturday with the long distance run, whereby he was second for most of it to Galvin who nearly lapped a few in the breach club. He looked extremely fit as did the team compared to last years training sessions I viewed.

Whilst it is a long way to the start of round 1, the nucleus of the side is strong and depth is better than previous seasons. That with a touch of youth and class of the new signings has me optimistic of a good season ahead.

Few players did not train at all; Twal, Hunt, May, Klemmer, Douehi.

I class seriously good as a Top 4 side ....I don't see us as a Top 4 side with the current roster in 2025

That’s a bit misleading, the Storm normally have seasoned international players dripping throughout their first grade side.

Assuming he gets off, i don't know how likely or unlikely that is. I don't even know what he's accused of off the cuff.

Did anyone at the Member’s training session see how Latu, Saukuru, Faataape, Mason & Tumeth did in the fitness drills?

Mason was good, Latu was middle of the pack however Saukuru, Faataape were last I did not notice Tumeth.

I’ll put it to you this way, both Shawn Blore and Alex Seyfarth were very impressive and regular stand outs for our Wests Magpies NSW Cup Team for the majority of 2023.
Tim Johanssen in a much worse team was even more impressive and more of a regular stand out in 2024.
Based on that fact alone, there is every reason to believe Tim Johanssen has quality NRL player written all over him.
Its not a 💯 guarantee, there is a percentage of players who look good in NSW Cup that don’t bring that to NRL, but the majority of them do.

Why do you doubt that? It’s easy to scoff at now, but there was a lot of enthusiasm around him when he signed. Plus, he was being positioned as a starting half. And that’s about the going rate for starting halves these days. If that figure is not correct, it’s not far off.

Every other figure ever reported was $550 per year for four years.

Even if we had those the young players are still a year or two off. Top 10 would be a vast improvement on what they have done.

Laurie Daley has watched every one of his 35 mins multiple times. He’s a bolter for the NSW captaincy and strong favourite for an order of Australia medal. Very underrated on here.
