What is the run down on top 30 player
Solomone Saukuru
6.1 and 115kgs according the Website.
20 years old and signed until 2026
Position: Centre

I don't recall him debuting or really talked about by forum members.

He was one of the players named turning up to pre season unfit or sinethibg like that.

Given his size and weight could he be a backrow option.

Is the Kobe Hetherington transfer dead in the water for 2025 or he is being considered fir spot 30 wuth Sullivan going to South's?

He's a runner and a passer. Freddy, Lozza, two of the great 5/8's started in the centres, Wally started at lock, Lockyer at 1, same as Munster and Jarome Hughes. As long as he gets a run at NRL level I'm happy because he's a gun.
I think he's a better 5/8 than Galvin but who am I to judge.
We have a very good, proven runner and passer in Luai and a good prospect runner and passer in Galvin.
I’m thinking outside the box to get all three of these guys starting together.
If any of them should be manufactured into a 7, I would prefer it to be Latu. He’s young enough and has the skill set to quickly adapt and with his running game could be the attacking weapon that Johnson, DCE and Hughes are.

A fit and motivated Latu Fainu is simply too good to leave out of our top 17.
I’ve previously stated how we can fit him in our starting side, he can’t be left out if fit and playing close to his best.
I’m also a big fan of Da Silva and likewise if he’s playing close to his best and adding value, there would need to be a way to fit them both in.
First things first, they need to start the season strong, show they are at the top of their game and ready to to take the next step.

So u want to groom a 5/8 to play 7 for the next 5 years. Get off the Xmas hooha
Question for you again mate

One of the new recruits is telling people that the Tigers pre season is a walk in the park compared to his last club

Does the training get hard after Christmas or is the Tigers just a soft club when it comes to fitness?

This is the underlying issue about WHY we fade in games.

Penriths most important indicator of personality and projected success is fitness.

Tigers need to double down on fitness

I think he was the guy that was playing both in the backs and in the forwards as a junior. He could be an option either in the middle or on an edge in the future but will need to get himself in shape first.

Our record sadly shows that we are very slack in regards to fitness and what is worse is the last time a coach (Madge) tried to change it the club didn't give him enough support on the issue. There is a very good reason why we fade on the field in the back of games and both physical and mental fitness is a large part of it.
Hoping the riff boys give them bucketloads of scorn on the field because they know what is required to win

Who was the outspoken new recruit ?
I heard Ute say there wasn’t much difference between Melb/tigers other than wrestling intensity

Did you blink and miss the glimpses of his elite ball playing and ability to easily break tackles when playing NRL late last season, when finally fit after an injury plagued season

😂😂😂😂

No - I didn’t miss those ‘glimpses’ as you call them…

But I’ll need a bit more than to have him dictating the make up of the 17…

Starting with coming back fit for the season after spending 18 months in rehab would be a tremendous start - a start he’s already missed.

Not full time , start as a 14 , give api a rest cover lock and centre as well , if he can cover all of the above he would be worth heaps come his next contract. Just remember it’s a team sport ,
What makes you think he could cover any of those positions?

I think he is as well. Just not as fit as Galvin but looks tougher.
