because the WT needs to be independent of the HBG , with the acknowledgement that for the past X amount of years , there’s been a skills shortage on the WT , which has led to poor decisions in both retention , the clubs direction .
This is no more evident than when tweedle Dee and tweedle dum thought it was a good idea to take all the journos in Sydney to lunch to ask what they think the tigers should do .
That’s not how professional boards and chairman’s should operate . The requisite skills and decision making should and must be kept in house , simply because it offers a corporate advantage to our competition( other clubs) simply by having the knowledge out the for what our intentions were .
The independent directors should have the required skills and knowledge of running a football club , not a leagues club (HBG) and lead the club to success .
This isn’t 1950 where the 2 clubs are similar and can be run by mum and dad .
An nrl club and its operations is nothing like a pokies den , and as such should have different people running it .
The HBG have thier representatives on the board to ensure thier interests are being met , and this should be enough .
