Today we are taking the first step into launching action to change the governance of the majority shareholder of the Wests Tigers, the Holman Barnes Group (HBG).

This action commenced after the HBG board (controlled by Magpies die-hards Julie Romero and Dennis Burgess) dragged its feet over introducing and adopting the full recommendations from the external review into the governance of the Wests Tigers.

We fought so hard for that review in 2023 and it only came about because everyone supported the petition.

This time, we intend to make our action much bigger and louder than the individual supporter groups and we will be working together, all Wests Tigers social and media outlets, to support this action under the banner of ‘Wests Tigers Unite’.

Ahead of this action, we again ask that you take an interest in this important matter as it is the final hurdle in giving the Wests Tigers the ownership and governance that will help the club we all love thrive.

In the coming days, a petition will be added by organisers and I encourage EVERYONE to sign. In a time where the trajectory of our club is in the right direction, the board continues to derail and cause embarrassment to what we are trying to achieve. Any personal issues need to be put aside and collectively, as a fan base, we come together in hopes of a result. A result we all want & need.

The fact that its nearly 2025 and we are still at this point ensures this movement has my full support.

This club should be an absolute powerhouse and yet we are constantly dragged through the mud by the zoo keepers in charge.

A lot of disenchanted and fed up fans will do anything for change fellas.

Just finished listening to the podcast. Spot on.

I think the important part with this is to get as many NRL supporters on board as possible. It's not just a Wests Tigers issue. We ARE the joke of the whole NRL. We need to get NRL supporters, from all teams, to show that the way WT is run is not ok and our shemozzle of a club impacts the whole game. Every supporter is affected by the ridiculousness of Wests Tigers.
