Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Lot of 'facts' on here...

Here's a couple more
- The Craig Bellamys of the game turn Brenko Lees into Origin and Premiership Winning Players.
- Our Coach for the last couple years sends players to the Craig Bellamys of the world so they
can play in Grand Finals.
- The Craig Bellamys of the game have it's superstars continue to play under him, for less money than they can get elsewhere.
While our coach loses one of the better up and coming players in the game to Craig Bellamys
- for less money.

there isn't a Tigers fan, That wouldn't swap Benji for Bellamy in a heartbeat - Why?
Because he gets better results!!
And he's done that - Continuously, For a very, Very long time.

To say no coach would make our team better is the biggest cop out I've ever heard.
The best coaches stay at the best clubs for a reason.
Half the supporter base believe Maguire is a crap coach because he failed here and use the excuse he is only a good coach with a good roster - der!
Until the club demonstrates that a coach has something decent to work with here the turnover of what's available coaching wise will continue.

Let's see how he goes at the donkeys with that top 8 roster.

I’m not convinced on Benji as a coach either, but surely as supporters we can give him season 2025 before jumping to conclusions.
All I know is we have CEO Richo at the helm, a revamped dedicated Wests Tigers board, an influx of new players (some here only because they wanted to be coached by Benji), and a proven someone who wants to make his mark as a leader of his own team.
And some young players who were thrown into the game last year, way too early - but have come through and are blooded in the NRL grind.
All this tells me that the coach now has a chance to show his stuff.

Finally, some positivity let's give him a chance to prove himself this year will be the test.

If you don’t think he coached in 23 then you weren’t paying attention.
I think he definitely coached in 23 . But I’m 💯 sure it wasn’t his game plan, and he was just listening to sheens flat out . I think he was implementing a game plan from 2008 offered up by sheens .
I think his lack of experience delivering this complicated gameplay just confused everyone .
It was noticeable the following offseason the word of choice that would have been describing the team was “simple” . “He’s simplified the style” was said by almost every player who transitioned between the two seasons.
So I don’t think it’s as straight forward as he’s the one to blame for the sheens debacle season .
The one thing I do have to lay blame for him is he did approve the signings that sheens and Fulton pushed down his throat . And I think by and large he’s probably regretting a lot of those choices .
