Not sure about that Tucker imo the club was on a down hill slide once Cleary knifed us. In truth looking back the whole org wasn't properly set up from the merger, hopefully now with a unified more professional and independant boardroom, they can start making better strategic decisions for our future.

I agree it was never set up properly from the get go, however the downhill slide was being worked on with the great signings of Api and the current DallyM backrower of the year in Paps.
When the board knifed Madge after extending him only 6 months previously, it commenced a period of shitness, far worse than the quality of the squad suggested.
The squads of 23 and 24 had plenty of players who brought big game experience including finals and grand finals, plenty of guys who played elite level rep footy and some who still were doing so.

Means that theoretically - you could get any coach off the street and put him in charge of a team and he would do the SAME as the great coaches

Who said that? Clearly their are coaches that have earned their reputations. But you can guarantee if they have achieved continued success they have done so with the support of some great resources - money, players, culture and sound management.
Can't say that has been the case for any of our coaches in recent times if at all.

The mob on here are relentlessly incorrect at this time of the year….if the prevailing consensus is that we will do well, I’d be nervous…😎.
That said, we have built and nurtured a squad that will be competitive with the top 10 or so for a place in the finals. There’s a good mix of experience, success, exuberance with a splash of youthful X factor. People have identified this and are watching closely.

Yeah it's not a bad team at all. Coaching staff still has me worried.

If you had Bennett or Bellamy they would take this team to the top 8 so see what happens.

Funny thing preseasons the pros and cons of the team probably level the thought of their chances then through the season the wild swings no they won't, yes they will make the finals entertaining.
