Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Agreed, best all round kicking game in the NRL, great football brain and is getting better with age
Long Boot second to none (Maybe Burton - But he's not even in the conversation as far as halves)

Would you have him back B considering previous history with us that played out.
In a Heartbeat....
It wasn't him back then, It was us.
He's gone on to achieve, We've shrivelled up to 3 time spooners.

It’s quite clear NRL teams are moving towards having fitter,, faster and more agile middles.
I think it’s near certain Papali’i will play exclusively as a prop for the Panthers, Shaun Lane exclusively as a prop for the Eels, Felise Kaufusi exclusively as a prop for the Dolphins, the Crouchman twins exclusively as props for the Dragons etc
So it’s a clear trend for lighter, but fitter and more agile middles, this can only be done successfully if the team has plenty of go forward from its outside backs and plenty of size and power in its edge forwards.
What this means for Wests Tigers is an opportunity to overpower our fair share of rival teams through the middle which has rarely happened in recent seasons.

Please stop. I'm struggling to cope with a massive case of cognitive dissonance:
Reading the wtf and sensing some semblance of... hope?

It's freaking me out!! 😂
Yeah, it really is a worry.

How many pre-seasons have there been when we thought that we were really going to perform well only to face incredible disappointment, and worst of all, to have it happen not all that far into the season.

I'd like to think this season will be different, as a matter of fact I'm almost certain that it will be.

Unfortunately there is still that lingering fear that it will almost certainly take time for combinations to gel and if we don't win early on with the draw that we have, it could quite easily just become another season where we are out of contention with half the season still remaining, with what many may consider a tougher draw still ahead of us.

I guess if nothing else, that could be a good test to see what sort of character and determination this team has.

Usually every pre season I look at the squad with optimism; I think last year was the first time I looked at it and man... It was dire.

While centre is the position I'm most concerned with, I really do think they have the best 30 they've had in a very long time.

Apart from the actual cattle, I think one of the best decisions the tigers have ever made is appointing Shane Richardson. Even now I'm having a chuckle because of his decision to get rid of the barber at the COE! 😂

I really do have faith that they have the right plan, they no longer take shit and, although it's painful now, they are staying the course and the foundations are there for this to be a watershed period for club.
