Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I would take Sloan in a heart beat,
Given a half chance in attack he will convert into points, I would convert Bula into a centre to fit Sloan into our team.
As I rate Sloan a bigger attacking threat than Bula.
Anyway I don’t think ST George will be letting him go anyway.
Sloan is close to the laziest player in the comp and non existent in defence. Sick of people here being captivated by highlight reel players

any news on Hassett since the pahs signed the qld u19 kid?
I’m just guessing, but if you were his manager and his current deal with the Panthers due to finish at the conclusion of this season, you would be looking for a minimum 2 year deal.
From a Wests Tigers point of view they would likely be willing to sign him for season 2025 only to see how it works out and see if he is any better than the other fringe back rowers we already have, but would likely have reservations about signing him for any longer at this stage.

We need to be sure he is the one that gels best with Luai. And he doesn’t grow too tall.
It’s not all his way - we need to make sure he is the right option for us!
Totally agreed.

We keep talking about and pumping up Galvin, but we don't know if he is going to gel with Luai yet. They may go great together, or they may clash and not sync. Likewise Luai+Fainu may work better.

Happy if Galvin takes 3-4 months to sign that line. Look I get it Galvin shows a stack of promise and like Bula seems to be one of the few Juniors to actually live up to the hype. Yet, it may not work.

If it don't work, please punt people. We tried to make a square peg fit into the halfback hole... It did not work for over a decade!

46° in Cowra at 4.45pm today. It's still 30° in Canowindra at 11.30pm
Keep off the A/C though - or you'll miss the pissing contest between the resident neanderthals who act like 40 degrees and 99% humidity by the coast followed by dangerous electrical storms is no sweat!

Same simians who are the first to complain when the above conditions lead to inevitable black-outs - fallen trees and property damage... and blame politicians.

But it's all just like it was when we were kids.... remember

I’m not getting invested either. I’ll love it if he stays on, but I’m still scarred over the Tedesco debacle. I lived and breathed that contract saga for what felt like a year. The first thing I’d do every morning is check this place for some inside scoop. I must have done that 5 or 6 times a day, It was soul crushing when the realisation hit that he was leaving. Never putting myself through that again.
Now i understand. You need a hug.

He was like the first hot chick you got; she’s a biatch, but she’s dead hot. And I stood by him, when everyone was trying to say Moylan was the better FB and they dropped Teddy. And he still left us.
It was painful.

Someone's going, so we must have some new signings on their way:

Piliae-Rasabale joined Wests Tigers Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership team in 2023, making the switch from rugby union.

A former Wallaroo, Samoan-born Piliae-Rasabale is a gifted ball-playing five-eighth who displayed class and composure in her inaugural season in the NRLW.

Pauline is a multi-sport athlete, having also displayed her talents as a state-league netballer prior to her rugby career.

Piliae-Rasabale will depart the club at the conclusion of the 2024 season.
