Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

No I’m referring to players developed through our own junior system who turn into NRL stars while playing b for us, then decide to turn their backs on us for similar money at rival clubs.
In this scenario if we have bent over backwards to retain the player and they sign elsewhere, we sound okay then in Ron Massey Cup for the remainder of their contract with us, it should not even be in question.
Why RMC? Sorry, it just seems very juvenile. An emotional response.

I wonder if the Roosters are now focusing on Brown because they were told Galvin wasn’t interested in changing clubs.
Where did you hear that?..I can tell you Issac Moses and Galvins Dad is hoping the Roosters dont sign Brown....he wants Galvin there....

The Sydney Roosters are fed up with player managers linking off-contract players to their club. Chairman Nick Politis has furiously denied weekend speculation the Roosters were to have talks with Parramatta Eels five-eighth Dylan Brown.

“We are not interested,” Politis said, “Whenever a big-name player comes off contract he is linked to us. It’s managers just trying to create interest.”

That answer my previous question then

The Bulldogs have too many quality edge forwards, they will not be able to fit them all in their top 17 or be able to give them all adequate game time, therefore some will be very unhappy and likely want out because of it.
When full strength Kikau is their first choice on the left edge, which leaves Preston and Tupouniua competing for the starting right edge spot, neither will be considered as their 13 as they have worked out a ball playing 13 suits them best, which will likely be Kurt Mann with Bailey Hayward as their number 14 and back up.
Whoever misses out on starting between Preston and Tupouniua will likely be their number 15.
This will leave Jaeman Salmon and the highly talented and emerging Logan Spinks both excess to their NRL requirements.
Salmon definitely won’t be happy playing NSW Cup at this stage of his career and his versatility would make him a decent recruit for us on a lower price contract.
The better target would be Logan Spinks who is contracted to the Bulldogs until the end of 2026. But if as expected he doesn’t see hardly any NRL and his form continues to prosper in 2025, he would be an ideal back row target as of November 2025 with the intention of trying to get him out of his contract early for 2026. I know it’s hard to tell if a Flegg star will become an NRL star, but my prediction is Logan Spinks has the body type and game to be a potential rep player before too long.
Wasn't Tupouniua a prop at the roosters?
