Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

We've all been done this road before, only this time we have reno'd the squad have the best ceo in the business and have fingers crossed finally a fully independant and competent boardroom.
Only question is still on Benji but apart from that we should be moving in the right direction.
If we were coming into the season with an established coach, I think enthusiasm would be at an all time high.

When I walk past supporters wearing tigers gear on the street I always say "up the tigers" and have a quick chat. Let me tell you it's not just members on this forum that are reluctant to get excited about the season ahead. All the losing has really affected supporter's psyche.
I wear my Tigers cap everyday i work up here at the goldy airport and always get a go tigers from someone 👍

So what’s the rumours around Galvin ?
My guess is , the kid hates losing , so if we shit the bed the next season or 2 , we won’t just lose Galvin , but Luai and anyone else who has potential .
Whether the eels or roosters , it will matter little .
If we win , and create a winning culture than only the most single minded players or ones deemed surplus to need will move on . At least for the first contract renewal .
Winning fixes everything , from money to media , to player rentention to recruitment etc .
and if we don’t win ? Well what’s the fuss about ? Because if we don’t win then doesn’t that mean that these players arnt as good as we think they are , thereby , needing different players anyway ?

I also give people a “go the Tigers” when see them wearing a hat or shirt. Plenty of WTs supporters when I walk through Circular Quay or Manly Beach. Surprising lots of WTs fans on the Northern Beaches for some reason. Seems to be a lot of support out there in general for a team that has been down the bottom of the ladder for such a long time. Imagine if what it would be like we were a good side.

Is he? How do you know that? I used to play Sydney a lot before moving north.
Just remember seeing him on tv I think. Definitely same Simon Dwyer too.

Line on northern beaches..sometimes wear cap..sometimes wear jersey...I get more sympathy than anything else..picked cthe wrong team bud ha ha..!
But it's not in any way negative
Sense a lot of opposing supporters wldnt resent us having a win one year!

Good morning every body,Buzz is dropping an article on Benjies life line(of sorts) wish you all well ,chatting about that.L8tr

Why do you think coaches can only coach the style they played? Or for that matter do an origin 7 and kiwi 6 need specialist positional coaching more so than game plan coaching?
Professionalism.

Look any first grade coach in the NRL could grab an under 12's team or reserve grade team and coach any position to a standard. Marshall could teach an 11 year old to use his shoulders when tackling or Ryles could teach a 13 year old the basics of kicking...

But it's the basics. It's the 101 of how to play a position. They can't teach the 1%'ers because they don't experience a halfback getting caught out or a winger defending a 2 player overlap. It's the rough guide on how to play wing, or center or most positions.

You don't want Amatuer level at the NRL. So much focus is on the spine these days, you want a plan to set up an attack and positioning. Jason is a prop and he is surrounding his coaching staff with Props. He will have a damn good forward pack, but his weaknesses as a coach are amplified by his staff being very similar to him.

??? Most players came through grade playing completely different positions to the ones they ended up playing in first grade . As for Benji even he adapted from the spark plug , the game revolves around whenever you want to do your thing , to the game managing half and tactician he retired as .
I think that’s a really obtuse outlook mate .
